2023 AFCONQ: We Want To Bring Fans Back To Our Side — Osimhen

Victor Osimhen says the Super Eagles are determined to win the support of their fans again after some disappointing results in the past.

The Super Eagles will take on the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone in a 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Monrovia on Sunday.

A win will be enough for the Super Eagles to seal a place in Cote d’Ivoire 2023.

Jose Peseiro’s side lost 1-0 at home to Guinea-Bissau on matchday three.

The Super Eagles also failed to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

“We want to bring our fans back to our side because we know they are understandably disappointed,” Osimhen was quoted by Brila FM.

“It was disheartening for us when we couldn’t qualify for the World Cup. ”

“We had online abuses. Now it’s behind us but the memories still linger. We will do our best to earn their trust.”

When dey play from the back i always get afraid.. since the last time dey played 4 : 4 against sierra Leone the eagles lost their mind.
With the new Coach in command or at the helm of affairs, maybe he is thinking all teams are Sao Tome. And he attacks throughout.. and u just see last minutes counter and the game is gone.
The things is making me afraid wat wil happen in monrovia.as the eagles are going to attack to win …and I don’t know if the coach wil allow sierra Leone to come out to play . eagles don’t eagles need to struggle to win sere men.. those days we call those Asians guy sere in film . Dey wil just keep coming and coming and one American detective will just be hitting or striking them off.
This thing is brain work abeg.

I have lost hope in you guys. You people have to bring back the uniqueness, hunger, determination, and never say never Super Eagles spirit before I can trust you again.

For now, I’m less concerned. Good luck to you Super Eagles. Ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!

Now you have lost hope in the guys that can win the nations cup under kind of coach within 2 weeks. Wow! In less than 2 years the same team that was so fantastic that you expected to win the nations cup is now giving u headache. Lol

      • Don’t mind Omonaija, he supported the corrupt NFF to make the changes that brought us to this point, and now he has suddenly lost hope in the team. Well change is permitted and is constant, I will suggest that the likes of Omonaija and his friends that were part of the effort to bring us here should now begin an active campaign against this current NFF regime in order to right the wrongs and do right by us fans and the players too.

Why wouldn’t I? Super Eagles have been struggling under our ex world class coach Oga Rohr and now Oga Paseiro. Our best players have never be called to the national team.

The current NFF should be sacked. Our local coaches are far better than the current coach period. I will never be deceived no more. This team is not impressive. God bless Nigeria!!!

I have been waiting patiently for news that outstanding coaches salaries and players bonuses have been paid.
    I’m still waiting.

Imagine OSIMHEN, BRIGHT SAMUEL OSANYI in every DEPARTMENT of the PITCH then GENERAL ROAH on the SIDE LINE…

    • No..Imagine Junior Ajayi, Kelechi Nwakali, Fanendo Adi, Jalil Anibaba, Arokodare and some Ajegunle boys in Eagles with Amunike and Siasia on the bench.

@Omo9ja how far with your with your eguavoen? Is he a foreign coach?

    • Omo Nigeria just lost ebere eze to England.. he was capped today in an international game.. it is all over for him regarding Nigeria..

He would have made a good player for us.. but we must produce our own!

      • More like Eze will be lost if we keep quiet and allow the corruption, Nepotism, Godfatherism,Quota system,Favouritsm, going on in the NFF and Nigerian football continue unchecked…….They raise the bar so high for the talented players inorder to keep them out of our national team and lower the bar so low for the chosen players inorder to keep them in our national team…..Players gathering international caps without using them to further their football careers and raise the profile of our national team……..More talents will be lost if we continue to tell them to wait for their time…..More talents will be lost if we continue to ask of who to drop for them in the national team…..More talents will be lost if we continue to count number of players to invite per wing…….More talents will be lost if we want to balance the national team regionally……more talents will be lost if we allow thieves who will turn their back at real talents if they are not given bribe to call the shorts in our national teams……Orban is going gradually and all we hear them say is “let him wait for his chance”,”we have too many strikers who will he bench?”,”he should move to SeriaA and dominate there before he will be selected”,….All to just keep him out and accumulate worthless caps for certain players…… Argentina has 5 top wingers including Messi in their team and they are world champions but still found a way of bringing in young Ganacho inorder to integrate him into their team and prevent England from pouncing…..But if it is my country they will be listing wingers who are ahead of him and telling you that we can not invite too many wingers…… Where is it written in football that you must invite players according to their wings?….. All I know is that The New Nigeria of our dreams is possible and we will achieve it in this our generation.

Westerhof and bonferre used elimination by substitution to get his best .,.one by one .. in each department.though it was a process that lasted 5 years . But the team was getting stronger and stronger in every competition til dey got to the climax. And when nfa want to get rid of bonferree dey knew wat dey did against sierra Leone in away game.and that was his last game with eagles ..
But this latest coaches even nff are undecided yet .dey could be praying he lost the match tomorrow… I just thinking.

Elimination by completing the square is another formula the eagles coach could have employed but no time to blend together with new guys . So he is employing try by error method.. let see if it will work with the unperfoming guys ..

Corruption everywhere, they’re not beating Sierra Leone today, best result for them is a draw.the midfield combo is joke anyway, gra gra with no ball sense. Hopefully we don’t get humiliated
