2023: Mikel Throws Weight Behind Gov Bello’s Political Ambition

Former Super Eagles midfielder, Mikel Obi has expressed his desire to help Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello achieve his political ambition in order to create a better Nigeria for the people.

Mikel, who stated this during a courtesy visit to the Governor in the State House on Sunday, also praised his contribution to the progress of Kogi State.

He pledged support for Bello’s political aspirations, adding that youths should be given a chance to get the change Nigerians clamour for.

“It is an honour for me to finally meet his Excellency personally after all the good things I have heard and read about him from not just the people of Kogi State but from Nigerians,” Mikel said.

“My main aim is to come here to show my appreciation and to thank him for all the things he has been doing for the people and also to support him in whatever future political positions he wants to go into.

“I would like to be there to support him, to be there by his side through this journey for him to achieve whatever he wants, which is for the betterment of Nigeria.”

“What better person to lead the youths than him because he has been doing all these good works, and that is why I am here to see whatever way I can come in.”

My Mikel, if not that you are someone I just love….mehn, I would have said something bad. Please, just face your football career and leave those guys with whatever you’ve been reading, cos you don’t know those snakes. As far as I’m concerned, there is no politician that is up to PAR in Nigeria, considering the resources we have, and as well the revenue generated and received by those shameless criminals, from the top to the later…….They are all criminals, which need to be arrested. I love you Mikel.
