2023 U-20 WC: Flying Eagles Made Us Proud Despite Loss To South Korea –Saraki

Former Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki has revealed that he’s proud with the performance of the Flying Eagles despite crashing out from the Quarter Finals of the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup on Sunday.

Recall that Nigeria lost 1-0 to South Korea thanks to a 95th minute goal from C. Seok-Hyun, after there were no goals in regulation time.

Reacting to the result, Saraki via his twitter handle said that the future of Nigerian football is bright and the journey for the Flying Eagles doesn’t end at the U-20 World Cup.

“Despite the defeat, we are proud of our Flying Eagles for their impressive journey at the FIFA U20 World Cup.

“The future of Nigerian football is bright, and the journey doesn’t end here. Keep soaring high, boys!”

YES O! Especially with ASIWAJU AHMED BOLA TINUBU as our PRESIDENT, I see The FUTURE of NIGERIAN FOOTBALL and SPORTS in general very BRIGHT!!!

  • I have never seen a Nigerian national team play such a highly tactical and discipline game. Yes they lost but kudos to Ladan Bosson and his crew, they did veru well.
I was one of those who wrote him off and never believed him when he said that he has learnt from his previous U20 engagement.
When they played Agentina and I saw how the organization was superb I started having a rethink.
Tjen the Korea match. He should be allowed to start thinkering a new U20 team, the U23 and then the Super Eagles.Ladan Bosson has matured and it is clear for all to see.
