Germany hammered debutant Morocco 6-0 in their first Group H game of the 2023 FIFA women’s World Cup on Monday.
Germany ended the first half 2-0 ahead thanks to a brace from star player Alexandra Popp.
Popp opened the scoring in the 11th minute before adding the second in the 39th minute.
Just one minute into the second half Klara Buehl made it 3-0 while an own goal by Hanane Haj on 54 minutes out Germany 4-0 up.

Another own goal by Zineb Redouani in the 79th minute made it 5-0 and in the 90th minute Lea Schuller added the sixth.
Morocco’s next game is against South Korea on July 30.
Africa’s other debutant Zambia were also thrashed 5-0 by 2011 champions Japan while South Africa lost 2-1 to Sweden.
Nigeria’s Super Falcons are the only African team that avoided defeat in their first group game after a hard-fought 0-0 draw with Canada.

In directly, caf referee help South Africa because, other africa wanted nigeria to be dethroned and they knew It will be difficult for them to beat nigeria in the final. Even in ghana here they were happy that nigeria was cheated that day.
U ppl will not mention the work the coach is doing . To set them up tactically so they are not basket. Even though we know they will still lose at some points to teams with better players. The coach has tried with his formations.
Nigerians want someone to play open and expansive football and collect 7-0 like previous falcons.
European coaches can read football pitches way better than African coaches. They use technology which helps them make fast decisions

This is the result of the disrespectful actions of their fans booing our national anthem meanwhile all those talkative south african analysts especially the one from Zambia that said “it’s high time someone retires Nigeria from African football” after the third place match,madam how far?how go dey go for she-polopolo? well am not surprised by the score line to be honest.Without Caf protection, they have lost all 6 of their warm up games coming to the world cup.Take this to the bank there is no way a Ghana,CIV or Cameroun would have been beaten by such basketball scoreline.They made Nigeria eliminated all 3 west African powers and paved way for lightweights to represent Africa.We can all see the results.Away with Zonal qualifications and let the best represents Africa Jamaica and Haiti also made their debut, there was nothing to separate France and Jamaica, same with Haiti who gave an excellent account of themselves despite losing by an odd Goal against England.With the way they played, the future of the female game seems to belong to the Carribean nations.
The thing that made me laugh about Zambia was their head rubbing abi na scratching stunt as they were walking into the pitch. All of them just dey scratch head like say dem get lice for head, lol. It made them look really weird indeed.
The stunt obviously backfired, as Japan no kuku send them. After the walloping, there will likely be less head scratching from the Zambia team before matches going forward! Quoting Kenneth Kaunda, Zambia shall be free! The quest for freedom begins with the next game against the rampaging Spaniards.
As for Morocco, na early morning for them. A very rude awakening for the sardine makers. Germany actually spelled Morocco with goals, but a goal was disallowed to save Morocco’s blushes.
They can now see that their “win at all cost” obsession when playing at home has now landed them in the hot soup that is the world cup. Now they are set to roast ever so slowly in the world cup heat.
Please why is Nigeria not hosting the African women nations cup anymore….i wish we can host the next two editions so that we can teach all these noise making country…that we remain their master and we remain giant of Africa when it comes to women’s football.
