In a strong and patriotic move to bolster support for the Super Eagles Against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in tonight’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium Uyo, Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, has declared a ‘partial’ open gate to allow a large number of fans access into the Stadium to support the national team, Completesports.com reports.
Previously, organisers of the match had pegged tickets at N3000 for VIP State Box and N1000 for the popular stands.
But His Excellency, Governor Eno has now decided to throw gates for the popular stands open while the State Box retains its N3000 access value.
NFF had on Thursday flooded several points in the city with the match tickets released for sale 24 hours before the match.

However, a government source here confirmed the development even as local radio and television stations have been announcing the development while commending the Governor for the gesture.
