2026 WCQ: Enzo, Gonzalez, Taglaficao Score As Argentina Edge Bolivia

The Albiceleste (Sky Blue) of Argentina defeated Bolivia 3-0 in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match on Tuesday, September 13 at the Estadio Hernando Siles.

Argentina and Inter Miami captain Lionel Messi watched the game from the bench though he was not listed as a substitute.

Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez scored the opening goal in the 31st minute off an Angel di Maria assist.

Eight minutes later Bolivia defender Roberto Fernandez was shown a red card for a rough tackle on Christian Romero.

Di Maria got another assist in the 42nd minute with Nicolas Taglaficao heading in his indirect free kick.

Nicolas Gonzalez sealed the victory with the third goal in the 83rd minute of the encounter.

The Argentine team’s next game will be against Paraguay on October 13 at the Estadio Mas Monumental.

Argentina are currently second in the CONMEBOL 2026 World Cup qualifiers with six points from two matches.
