2026 WCQ: Zimbabwe Midfielder Munetsi Doubtful For Super Eagles Clash

The Warriors of Zimbabwe may be without star midfielder Marshall Munetsi for their 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Nigeria.

Munetsi is among the 28 players invited for both games by Warriors head coach, Beltmar Brito.

The talented midfielder missed French club Stade de Reims league clash against Nantes last weekend after suffering a broke nose in the previous game with Lorient.

According to a report by French outlet, L’Union, the Stade de Reims medical team barred him from playing against Nantes even with a protective mask.

Munetsi could also miss Reims’ Ligue 1 fixture against holders Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday.

It’s still unknown if he will be cleared to link up with Zimbabwe for the Warriors’ World Cup Qualifiers.

The 27-year-old has scored once in 23 appearances for his country.

The Warriors will begin their qualifying campaign away to Rwanda on November 15 and then at home to Nigeria four days later.
