Two of Super Eagles major sponsors, 33 Export Larger Beer and GAC Motor have awarded the duo of Kelechi Iheanacho and Alex Iwobi a cash gift of one million naira each.
Recall that Iheanacho grabbed a first half brace in the match to place the Super Eagles top of Group C which also has Cape Verde and Central Africa Republic, who shared the points in their game earlier on Wednesday.
Iheanacho proved his goalscoring prowess, scoring in the 22nd and 44th minute of the first half, while Iwobi was in the driving seat of almost every attack by the team, while also grabbing both assists for Iheanacho’s goals.

Consequently, Iheanacho was presented with a dummy cheque of N1m for being the Man of the Match by 33 Export Lager Beer, while Iwobi was named the Most Valuable Player of the match by GAC Motor.
33 Extra Lager Beer has been a constant supporter of the National team and such gesture is expected to spur the Eagles to another victory when they travel to Cape Verde on September 7 for the second game of the Qatar 2022 World Cup Qualifiers.

My take away; as big as Nigeria is, with enormous resources, we cannot afford an electronic substitution board and a single world class football pitch where only our Super Eagles will play their games.
What a sham of a pitch, with NTA never disappointing with bad picture quality as usual.
Kudos to the players from both teams though for enduring a horrible 90+’.
