Enyimba’s Technical Adviser, Usman Abd’Allah has praised his team for recording a 2-0 home win over hard-fighting Niger Tornadoes in their penultimate Nigeria Professional Football League game on Monday, reports Completesports.com.
Goals from Ifeanyi Anaemena (penalty kick) and another from Ibrahim Mustapha secured the maximum points for the People’s Elephant.
The result sees Abd’Allah’s men retain the third position in the Group A table with 33 points from 21 games.
“The most important thing is the three points,” Abd’Allah said in his post-match interview.
“We got it! We came looking for nothing more than the points and nothing other than the three points, we got it, so congratulations to the boys. It’s a job well done.”
Enyimba are away to seventh-placed Katsina United in their final league game next Sunday and a win will secure a play-off spot in the NPFL for Abd’Allah’s men.
