Abia Warriors have beaten the war gong, boasting they will have no reason to fret over the NPFL matchday 11 break or bend clash versus leaders, Plateau United today (Sunday) at Umuahia Township Stadium, Completesports.com reports.
Plateau go into Sunday’s battle standing firmly on top of the NPFL table on 21 points as against the Warriors’ 9th spot on 14 points, with a huge seven points separating both sides on the log.
However, Abia Warriors Sporting Director, Patrick Ngwaogu, , says they have nothing to fear about the Tin City side’s profile.
Ngwaogu say though Abia Warriors have respect for every opponent, they have no reason to be wary of Abdul Maikaba and his men.
“No cause for alarm. We are poised to gv Plateau a run for their money,” the Warriors Sporting Director assured.
“We are not and cannot be intimated by their (Plateau United) position in the table, no, never.
“Just as we always say, the league is like a marathon where the end justifies the means.
“It is never a 100-metre race. We take it one game at a time and at the end of the 38 round of games, we will know who ends where.
“They are a good side, no doubt, and we ain’t expecting a stroll in the park of a game.
“But we are prepared to give them a run for their money”.
The Warriors go into the clash without any injury worries.
“We have a full house here in Umuahia. All the players are here and available for selection Everyone,” Ngwaogu added.
On Christmas day, December 25, the hierarchy of the club put together a ‘surprise’ birth day bash for their coach, Emmanuel Deutsch, a Cameroonian.
That was later to be followed by a sumptuous party for the players and management staff of the club by chairman of the club, Pastor Emeka Inyama.Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
