Rivers Angels midfielder, Deborah Abiodun, has expressed her delight at being called up for the Super Falcons friendly matches with the United States of America.
The Falcons will take on the Stars and Stripes of USA on the 3rd of September at the children’s Mercy Park in Kansas City.
Both teams will clash again on the 6th of September at the Audi Field in Washington DC .
The friendly matches are in preparation for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand which will hold between 20 July and 20 August.
Abiodun, who was part of the Falconets team at the just concluded U-20 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica, took to Twitter to express her excitement.
“Excited to be called up to the @NG Super_Falcons squad for the friendly against the United States. This is a dream come true & a rare opportunity to wear the represent at the senior level . Grateful to everyone who have contributed to my journey so far for their support,” she Tweeted.
Abiodun made three appearances for the Falconets at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
The Super Falcons have appeared at all editions of the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
