FIFA Men’s Best Player of the Year nominee Mohamed Salah was a shadow of himself as he was well contained by the Eagles backline.

It was the Eagles’ first AFCON win over Egypt since the 1990 edition held in Algeria.
And Osimhen, who had to be dropped from the squad due to COVID-19, urged the Eagles to build on the win against Egypt.
“Congratulations guys, amazing performance. We continue to build on this momentum.”
Up next for the Eagles is a second Group D clash with Sudan which comes up on Saturday.

Who else noticed the understanding between Awoniyi and Kelechi? Looks like they’ve being together for ages. They seem to understand each others runs, body movements and gestures. It was akin to their U-17 World Cup days, especially after Success got injured against Sweden.
I hope Awoniyi gets on the scoresheet in the next game. He’s a true team player

I love Awoniyi’s attitude. He may not be as good as Osimhen but he’s a better team player. Seems to be genuinely selfless on the pitch. Honestly, I wish him goals in the next game
Well done Super Eagles of Nigeria this win has done a lot to clam my nerves. However this we beat Egypt but this unit can still be alot stronger with the Addition of The Osimhens and Dennis and hopefully Yes i said Victor Moses and maybe Lookman or Amoo and Calvin Bassey.
