He did the same thing at the 2006 edition hosted by Egypt despite being in the same group with Ghana, Senegal and Zimbabwe.

At this year’s AFCON, the Eagles opened their campaign with a 1-0 win against Egypt and overcame Sudan 3-1 in their second group game.

After securing qualification into the knockout stages, the Eagles rounded up the group stage with a 2-0 win against Guinea-Bissau.

Writing on their Twitter handle CAF said:”🇳🇬 Augustine Eguavoen wins the #TotalEnergiesAFCON2021’s Group Stage Best Manager Award! 💯”

Eguavoen will hope to and his Super Eagles team will hope to continue their impressive run in Cameroon when they take on Tunisia in the round of 16 on Sunday.

  • You deserve it coach, all people saying rhor is the Messiah and all that bullshit that he will come back, eguaveon is riding on another person glory and you guys are saying he is using the squad rhor assemble. Since is rhor that assembled the Nigerian players eguaveon should use Ghanaian players for afcon cause I don’t understand

Just hear the clueless ROHR on MOSES SIMON

“He is decisive, he is an extraordinary boy whom I have always supported and sometimes played in complicated positions, alone in the corridor,”

Imagine playing your best player ‘in COMPLICATED positions, ALONE in the CORRIDOR’

      Who does that pls?
Little wonder another MOSES; Victor, his best player at the 2018 WC was played as a defender against a very poor ARGENTINE team. The outcome we all know.

The only difference between ROHR nad EGUAVOEN is the colour of their skin. Other than that, EGU has always played beautiful football with the nAtional teams he has coached.

Problem is always the corrupt NFF who don not give our local coaches enough time like their foreign counterparts. Yet aside OTTO GLORIA, WESTERHOFF and BONFRERE JO, every other OYINBO coach in our soccer history have been TRASH!

  • Local coaches should be encouraged. If we meet Germany in the world and they play their national anthem do you think rhor will care he is representing Nigeria obviously he would stand up for country’d national anthem, but a local coach won’t have that problem

  • No doubt,Eguavoen is doing a very great job and I must admit he is the most tactically sound coach at the tournament. More power to your elbows.

  • Even when his team was Winning by 3 goals Eguaveon was still not laughing…….no smile no joy and that is what we need……. Eguaveon’s passion and confidence has infected SE players and the results are there for all to see

Our own(Nigeria) Eguavoen is becoming FIFA’s best coach in Qatar ’22.

Who else will NFF be searching for if not CAF best?

NFF is even tired of Peseiro. The man refused to go to Cameroon leaving the paid hotel room empty, can you beat that? Surely, the locals get it.

That’s a way of silencing his doubters. Up CAF, Up Eguavoen.

Congratulations to you coach Eguavoen. You saw and you conquered. You did not disappoint us your fans.

You showed the foriegn coaches in this tournament that Africans has a lot of fantastic indigenous coaches to choose from.

You showed your class and kept everything simply and easy, you showed NFF AJĘWOMASAN and ONIGBESE, the debtors that what they are looking for in sokoto is in their shokoto kę.

You have humbled Oga Rohr that said we don’t have players in Chelsea, Real Madrid and so on and Nigeria can’t compete with the best and we ca not win the world cup with this set if players.

You have putting Oga followers in their place. This Mr. Gernot Rohr fans that am talking about, they have no respect for anybody. Now, they are seeing what we are talking about “our own”. One thing they got left is, “they have moved on” it is a pity and from now on, when we the real fans of the Super Eagles are talking about Football, you people should remain quiet period. I am proud of “our own” I am proud of we patriotic Nigerians. Congratulations to Mr. No nonsense.

By God’s grace, we will achieve our main objective in Cameroon which is to win the Afcon.

“Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) has named Super Eagles interim coach Austine Eguavoen as the best coach in the group stage of the AFCON 2021”.

This alone showed that the current NFF members have no clue about football and after their tenure, they should vacate their positions. We needed our ex players to be in charge of our sports not these ex politicians and businesses men.

I am so happy for you coach Eguavoen. We won’t be distracted by this. The job is not done yet. Since we have putting Oga Rohr in his place, NFF in their place and Oga Rohr fans in their place, now it is time to show the world who we are. Let’s gooooooo our own. Let’s goooo Super Eagles. Ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!

My typos Sorry. CSN give us edit button on this forum for God sake. We want to take Nigeria back from our oppressors wether they like it or not.

Nigeria belongs to Nigerians not the foriegners. The slave mentality in NFF and their selfishness won’t work this time around.

Amaju and his company won’t be happy with this because they have their personal agenda which is to hire an average foreign coach so that they can loot more money from Nigeria. Mba, not today.

Again, CSN, give us edit button period. God bless Nigeria!!!
