AFCON 2021: Chukwueze Dedicates Goal To Osimhen

Super Eagles winger, Samuel Chukwueze has dedicated his goal against Sudan in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations to Victor Osimhen.

However, Chukwueze, who opened his goal account in Cameroon with a brilliant goal in the 3rd minute, said that he would have been delighted to have Osimhen at the tournament.

“I dedicated my goal to Victor Osimhen, I am so happy with the goal and game generally.

“In Africa You can’t look down on any team. I just hope we can keep the momentum going.

“It is our dream to finish the tournament on a high.”

  • TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

Chukwueze appear to be too careful not to make mistake; even his take-ons and runs has dropped usually…. Something definitely is wrong behind the scene.

Reports from SE training camp, before the Egypt match, stated that Coach Eguavoen yelled aggressively at Chukwueze to pass/release the ball; asking him to stop too much dribble.

Folks, you correct a player calmly.

Coach Eguavoen should be very careful not to kill the dazzling Chukwueze’s morale in this tournament o. Try to draw him closer and calmly encourage him.

Chukwueze still has enormous, great and impeccable footballing skills and charisma in him (undisputable).

Chukwueze has been one of SE best players even at last AFCON (His mesmerizing goal vs South Africa is a case study), coach Augustine Eguavoen what is wrong????

    Nigerian Fans are Worried!!!

Coach Eguavoen pls and pls allow Samuel Chukwueze express himself on the pitch. He is a very good baller any day. Thanks!

    • It’s a team sport, dribbling excessively can cost your team. As a player, you count one, two and you pass the ball. Coach is right and he wants his team to succeed.
      Play the game as instructed.

  • Well taken goal by chukwueze. I dont know what’s going in terms of your usual style of playing but I would gladly accept more goals from you in place of you just dribbling around with no end result.

Football is not about dazzling dribbles but results. Moses Simon keeps it simple and positive. Team play is what matters. We can play to entertain when the team is 10.0 up

Please, appreciate the style Samu applied scoring his delightful goal in this match before you start to jumbo his game in the other match.

I see no error in his game,He did some clean, Necessary dribbles to create chances and not to show how he can be Neymar jr or Ronaldo..
Samuel is free to express himself.
