Five Super Eagles stars Moses Simon, Joe Aribo, Zaidu Sanusi, Kelechi Iheanacho and Taiwo Awoniyi were included in the AFCON 2021 Team of Group D.
The Team of Group D was compiled and published on the Twitter handle of football facts and statistics website whoscored.com on Friday.
The list which is dominated by the Super Eagles stars, was compiled after the conclusion of the group stage games on Thursday.

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah was not listed among the four Pharaohs of Egypt players who made the cut.
While two players from Sudan were named in the list which is in a 4-4-2 formation.
The Eagles and Egypt qualified from Group D while Sudan and Guinea-Bissau crashed out.
Austine Eguavoen’s team will take on Tunisia in the round of 16 on Sunday.

Aribo, Simon, Nacho and Awo have shown that they are the core of the team attack.
Its really funny that despite Nacho’s contibution, some are already rating Iwobi ahead of Osi as #10. Playing alongside Aribo & Awo, Nacho carries more threat than Iwobi and his experience playing similar role at clubsides has really helped him in exploiting the space created by the attention on Awo. Hopefully, Chukzy will step up and raise his game on the right side to complete the attacking threats.
That’s my prayer. Just imagine Chukwueze attacking from the right at the same time the way Simon is attacking from the left wing with Ihanacho and Awoniyi in front.

I supported Rohr in its first session as SE coach but he lost my support when he decided to turn to Roar and started showing corruption and tactically inept traits. The law of dimishing return already set-in, instrad of encouraging competition with players invitation he was busy inviting retirees and creating canals, indiscipline and recycling underperforming players.The team was not only losing winnable points but also gradually losing its grip on FIFA standing.
