AFCON 2021: Super Eagles Foe Sudan Unveil Provisional Squad

Newly appointed Sudan head coach Burhan Tia has announced a provisional 36-man squad for the upcoming 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

Tia was appointed Sudan coach a few days ago, after the dismissal of Frenchman Hubert Velud, following Sudan’s exit from the FIFA Arab Cup 2021 currently being held in Qatar.
The provisional list included just one player who plays outside Sudan, Athar Attahir defender of Egyptian side Smouha Al-Masry, while the rest of the list came entirely from the local league.

Have Faith in your country after all we have a new coach who has started very well. I tell you my dear, the midfield has been SE main problem and it’s already being attended to by Coach Eguavoen. Not just Sudan, Egypt go collect.

abegi where is the time for sorting? we don’t need this bloated kind of list. SE coach should provide only 28-member list. At least have 23 already. Good luck Super Eagles!

      He has started working on
the midfield. Mind you Coach Eguavoen is not going to invite every Nigerian.
