Former Nigeria international, Sunday Oliseh, has described Super Eagles goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali as the country’s new hero.
Oliseh made this known after Nwabali’s impressive performance against South Africa in the semi-final of the 2023 Africa Cup.
Recall that the Super Eagles triumphed over Bafana Bafana 4-2 on penalty shootouts to book a final berth.

“Nwabali ! Nwabali !! Nwabali !!! After Osimhen’s 5 star performance, another hero is born! What composure, belief in God and a reassuring Smile by our Naija goalkeeper to send us to the AFCON Final,” Oliseh wrote on his X account.
“Now I can face my FIFA colleagues with a smile .. lol.”
He also put in a Man of the Man display as the Super Eagles needed penalties to beat South Africa in their semi-final clash on Wednesday.
