Fisayo Dele-Bashiru has expressed satisfaction with the Super Eagles performance in Tuesday’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against the Amavubi of Rwanda.
The three-time African champions were held to 0-0 draw by their hosts.
The scoreline would have been different had the Super Eagles converted some of the chances that came their way in the game.
Ademola Lookman, Victor Boniface, Moses Simon and Victor Osimhen all missed good scoring opportunities for the three-time African champions.

“The problem is that we couldn’t convert our chances, we created a lot chances to win the game. We have take positive that we didn’t concede.
“This result will definitely boost our chances of qualifying for the AFCON. It is not the result we wanted but definitely not a bad one.”

Dele-Bashiru, you have said it all. My joy now is that Super Eagles are now playing good football. Even if they don’t win there is confidence that they won’t lose and at the same time still enjoying good football.
I prefer this guy to iwobi in that position Iwobi will do better as a winger.
