Fasil Ketema goalkeeper Amas Obasogie is full of excitement following his return to the Super Eagles, reports Completesports.com.
Obasogie is one of the 23 players summoned by caretaker coach Augustine Eguavoen for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against the Cheetahs of Benin Republic and Amavubi of Rwanda.
The former Bendel Insurance shot stopper said he is delighted to be with the national team again.

“I feel happy, it’s good to be home,” he said on arrival in camp.
“Everyone wishes to be in the national team, but I feel very happy and humbled to be in camp and to see wonderful people.”.
He won the Golden Glove award in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) last season with 18 clean sheets.

Nigerian players are not different from any other Nigerian “japa-ing” because of a disastrous economy and the free-fall of the Naira. But Nigeria and the NPFL is most certainly NOT short of talent. The conveyor belt of talent is churning more players (who are even better trained from an earlier age these days) than are “japa-ing”!
