Looks easy on paper, but could be treacherous to assume it’s a walk in the park!
This group is tricky in the sense that, Tanzania has already qualified as Co-host. So, for Super Eagles to qualify, we need to lead the group.
Super Eagles needs to take every match of the group with all seriousness. Win all your matches home and away. That is the only way we can be sure of qualification.
Very tricky group indeed.
Good Luck to Super Eagles.
So,should Tanzania finish 3rd or 4th,the team that finished second won’t qualify? Is that what it’s?
Yes. No “Eritrea magic” in this case.
Fortunately, in spite of his contract ending next January, this will be Chelle’s first “full” qualifiers with Eagles.
With Madagascar FIFA ranking 104th
Tanzania 113th and
Guinea bissau ranked 132nd
Compared to Nigeria’s 26th world ranking,
This should be a piece of cake for Eagles.
Especially with new players incorporated.
Next year is likely the final tournament for most of the current players.
Qualification should be a breeze
Yes, only one team will follow Tanzania.
Yes, only one Country will follow Tanzania.
WITH ADVANCEMENT IN AFRICAN FOOTBALL WHICH PRODUCE CAPE-VERDE TO QUALIFY FOR WORLD CUP AHEAD OF ALMIGHTY CAMEROON
AM NOT SURE WHETHER NIGERIA CAN QUALIFY IN THIS GROUP BECAUSE WE FIND IT DIFFICULT TO BEAT COMMON LESOTHO HOME & AWAY.
Eric Chelle has changed all that.He has a better coached team. His wards were carefully picked without sentiment.
He will qualify from this group without much problem.
Thumbs up Sister woman Juliet. You nailed it
How can we beat Lesotho at our backyard when we have the most incompetent officers as NFF rulling over the affairs of our football. This same attitude has started all over again before the kickoff of the 2027 AFCON qualifiers. How? The case of the Unity Cup serving as one of the preparatory games for the football event starting in September 2026. The Unity Cup commence next week with all the participating teams already released their list of players including one semi final opponent Zimbabwe and it remains only six days to the opening match, our lazy, incompetent, corrupt and always unorganized NFF has of this very hour of writing this comment not released the official list of players to participate in the tournament.
It’s always shameful that we keep on complaining of the same thing before this good for nothing set of NFF officials do the right thing.
Mark it today, we will still complain about this same issue before the next FIFA window.
It’s shameful and I hope this present set of Amoju Pinnick set would be voted out by September,2026.
