Aina Nears Return From Hamstring Injury

Torino defender Ola Aina is set to return to training after a short spell on the sidelines, reports Completesports.com.

Aina has been sidelined for more than six weeks following a hamstring injury.

The 26-year-old copped the injury in Torino’s 2-1 away win against Udinese on October 23.

The Nigeria international scored his first goal of the season in the thrilling encounter at the Dacia Arena.

The versatile defender has missed Torino’s last four league outings as a result of the setback.

Aina also missed Nigeria’s 4-0 friendly defeat to La Selecao of Portugal last week Thursday.

However, according to Torino Granata, the former Chelsea academy product is healing faster than previously anticipated. The report added that the ex-Fulham player is only a few days away from joining Torino’s first team training.

The development means that Aina will head to Philadelphia in the United States of America on November 28 to link up with the rest of his team-mates not called up for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
