Former West Bromwich Albion midfielder Nigel Quashie has heaped paudits on Semi Ajayi following his impressive showing for the Baggies in the Sky Bet Championship this season, reports Completesports.com.
Ajayi joined West Brom in the summer from Rotherham United , and the Nigerian international’s reputation in the Championship is continuing to grow on a weekly basis.
Ajayi scored an impressive seven goals in 46 appearances for Rotherham United last season, and despite suffering relegation to League One – West Brom officials remained confident on bringing him to the club.

That confidence is paying off as the 26-year-old has been an ever present in Slaven Bilic’s side, featuring in every minute of the season so far.
Forming a superb partnership with Kyle Bartley, Ajayi has been a key component of Bilic’s side, who sit at the top of the Championship table.
“One and half million? Where can you get a player like that in this day and age? His (Ajayi) value has probably rocketed now”, Quashie told footballleagueworld.co.UK.

“He has been solid, he has been disciplined, he has matured and given the back four confidence. The team can attack as they know they have him behind and the back four have been outstanding.
“For £1.5m, that is the bargain of the season I would have thought.”
Ajayi has featured in 22 league games for West Brom this season and scored three goals.
