Super Eagles defender Semi Ajayi enjoyed a memorable start to his West Bromwich Albion career following the Baggies’ 2-1 away win against Nottingham Forest in their Championship clash at the City Ground on Saturday, reports Completesports.com
The home team seized the early initiative and took a well deserved lead in the 8th minute through Matty Cash who fired a shot into the bottom corner.
West Brom scored the leveller seven minutes later with Kyle Edwards dribbling past a number of Forest defenders before smashing the ball past Aro Muric.
Matty Philips netted the winning goal in the 26th minute poking the ball home from close range.
Ajayi, who recently linked up with West Brom from Rotherham United was in full action in the game.
Nigerian-born winger Sammy Ameobi started the game on the bench for Nottingham Forest.
Ameobi took the place of Joe Lolley in the 72nd minute.

If this guy continue this way I don’t think there would be space for balogun except he plays regularly.
Our players are playing well because they know play well and surely they would be invited… No more pay to play.. But play to play.. No wonder we are moving up in FIFA ranking
Honestly, Ajayi’s exclusion from the Afcon squad came as a huge surprise to me. I always thought he was going to be in there, especially because he can play multiple positions. Glad to see he is doing well. More grease to elbow, lad!
