  • I have to comment on this article. It makes me very happy indeed that the Nigeria Professional Football League has players representing the main national teams of other African countries for the coming Cup of Nations qualifiers.

This augurs well for the respectability of our own league as a product.

First it was Benin and now it is Cameroon. Others are rumoured to follow.

If this trend continues, I won’t be surprised if a number of NPFL players feature for national teams in the tournament proper next year.

The league re-started recently and has continued uninterrupted. Long may this continue. I pray player wages continue to be competitive and that players aren’t owed wages. I pray the league continues to be accessible on television and the app created. I pray the fanbase continues to grow.

If these and many other positive measures continue to thrive, then perhaps the league can return to the good old days when the likes of Eyimba and others ruled the African landscape.

  • @deo this your aim of stiking a balance in everything isn’t helping matters at all.

U are in a free world, u are have every right to air your views which u are entitle to and no one can question or bully u.

Pls try and be on one side so we can irradicate mediocrity in 9ja….

    There’s a saying that goes this way…
“In the absence of a crocodile u can manage an agama lizard”….

When u don’t have materials u make use of the available materials….

At 28 efala only manage 5 caps for cameroun.

Should cameroun have personels in that department they woun’t call efala so nothing special about that @Deo

Come to SE, mention the department we don’t have enough and to spare personnels plying their trade in europe?

It makes it difficult to look the way of the NPFL players.

To worsen the situation, this boys are not even helping matters…
CHAN- they can’t qualify, CAF CL- they can’t make it to the group stage….

How would a coach trust such unserious pple?

I remember when UZOENYI & ODUNLAMI bust into the scene after displaying their innate talent at CHAN and the whole country clamoured for their invitation… That’s exactly what we want.

Presently, apart from senegal and ivory coast mention any other country in africa that has players in europe more than nigeria.

Oga @Deo pls let’s try and be sincere to ourselves.

    :::SHALOM:::

    • It hurts my feelings deeply when my sincerity is attacked. It is also deeply offensive when my views are attached with mediocrity. But, I will let you be.

Do have a pleasant time, sir.

And your so called Abroad base team couldn’t beat Sierra Leone home and away.Enyimba played against a Sudanese club that is made up of top players from Sudan, Zambia, burkinaso,Zimbabwe etc..they lost away and won them at aba.this happened when the league kicked off as they were still trying to find their foot and get the right tactics. Your so called big boys allowed a team that are nobody to score you 4 at home..A game that home base team would have won comfortably.. Stop making unfounded assertions.your only jab is they couldn’t qualify for CHAN. Yet S/L used their CHAN(less) team and taught you a lesson

      • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

Tell your homebased to go and win Togo and Cape Verde homebased comfortably first before thinking of facing a S/L filled with foreign professionals…LMAO.
The last time I checked, it was a S/L SECOND DIVISION TEAM that knock us out of the CAF Confed cup 2 or 3 years ago….LMAO….at the preliminary stage for that matter…..LMAO

        • D-Cardinal 3 years ago

Pls @Dr drey which S/L club and against which Nigerian team

          • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

Go and find out yourself na. I thought you are a keen follower of the domestic league. Lolz

      • Dr Simone Toto 3 years ago

Drey you no get sense foreign based didn’t win for long time you still don’t have shame. Just talking nonsense and laughing at your stupidity too often you do this.

        • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

You that has sense….tell us when last your homebased won any match against their fellow homebased from ofther west african countries….LMAO. People who couldn’t beat Togo (2ce) and Cape Verde (of all countries) home based are the ones to beat largely foreign based S/L….LMAO. You really get sense….LMAO. Cant you see the way the whole of CSN always applauds you. They even gave you a beautiful name to crown your sense-lessness. Eranko.
          LMAO

          • Dr Simone Toto 3 years ago

Idiot Eyimba defeated Al Merrikh of Sudah 2 goals to one in Aba just 2 months ago and Eyimba will do well to win more in the caf confederation cup. I have always realized you’re an idiot and always take advantage of people. It’s obvious you’ll surely die young if you don’t quite decieving yourself.

          • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

Hhahahahaha…Eranko….is this all you have to offer….?

You forgot to tell us EL Merrikh had earlier wiped their ass 3-0 in the 1st leg and still even scored 1st in Aba in the 2nd leg…..and that the aggregate scoreline ended 2-4…..LMAO……ElMerrik of ordinary Sudanese league. Tell us….who is playing in the money-spinning CAF CL with the big boys now, where teams even get paid by CAF for every goal they score…???

Omo ale…..you that doesn’t take advantage of people, of what use have you been to this forum. Nobody has ever listed you as one of the sensible ones here. But anytime they are listing fools, your name pops up in their company as their dog…not even their ring leader…their dog….LMAO.

If I didn’t die after 2 heart surgeries in 2 decades, even the witches that pounded your destiny to make black soap cannot kill me. So just forget about the dying young wish….you are decades late with that already…..LMAO.

No one kills, eats or sacrifices vultures. Whoever tries to shake an Iroko tree will only shake himself.

          • Dr Simone Toto 3 years ago

Ewu that’s the whole point you said no local team has won, we didn’t say aggregate so get sense because if it comes to aggregate too Sierra defeated us on away goal. I need to be whipping you on this forum drey.

          • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

Hahahaha didirin olopolo kiku…..so why has Enyimba not qualified for the CAF CL group stage instead of El-Merriekh then….LMAO. If you had sense as small a mustard seed you will know that a 2 legged affair is only won and lost on aggregate….LMAO….same way a single legged game is won over 2 halves and not 1st or 2nd half alone….LMAO…and round-robins are won by topping the table

S/L defeated you on away goals rule…LMAO…so pls who is topping the group and about to qualify for AFCON with games to spare….LMAO.

Akiikah……omo eni ku o san ju omo eni go lo. Ki edumare ma fun wa ni didinrin omo. Sincere condolences to who/whatever produced you…LMAO….. Eranko.

  • The eyimba that has quickly become the song of the day is playing in caf conf.cup.

If i’m not mistaken they were playing in caf cl; their fellow homebase players bundled them out of the competition.

Is it a crime if enyimba join the likes of AL HALI, ESPERANCE, ZAMALEK, TP MEZAMBE et all to play in caf cl group stage?

This same S/leone defeated our super eagles 1 nil with the likes of OKOCHA, KANU on parade in 2001 hell did not loose so i see no reason why home and away draw becomes shambolic meanwhile we’ve lost to this same team with our football greats.

A homebase that morocco whip 4 nil, togo walloped 4nil will now be able to withstand a S/Leone side that has players based abroad.
Tell ur homebase to qualify for CHAN first b4 they can think of beating S/Leone.

All the NPFL players we’ve been singing day-in day-out have fizzle out of football world…
The AKAS, CHIKITARA, UTIN, UZONWOFOR, R.GABRIEL, ODEY, AMUZIE, FALEYE et all are now in mediocre leagues.

Apart from MUSA, ETEBO no other NPFL player has lasted for atleast 4 or 5 years in the football world since ROHR took over even when they keep forcing them on that innocent poor man.

Some are one season wonders, some 2 and some only use our national team to cross the mediterrenian to europe.

    My priority is sincerity ASAP.

    • UBFE,

Please, let this be the very last time you insult me indirectly on this platform. I will repeat myself, let this make it the very last time you insult me indirectly or you attribute insincerity to my contributions. I see a lot of what you write here. Most do not make any meaning or sense to me but I just pass them by.

It has been a very long time since I quarreled with people on this platform, I really do not want to do it again.

So I ask you, stay off my contributions if all you would do is pass insults at me indirectly.

I will say it again, UBFE, DO NOT INSULT ME I DIRECTLY EVER AGAIN.

      • @DEO.

This thread u are replying is not even directed to u….

I countered what @D-Cardinal wrote and u just took it upon yourself….

The first thread i made u replyed and we all ended it there. All this ones u came up with is what i don’t know.

My hapiness is that i didn’t insult u neither any on this forum bcos i myself i don’t condone any insult…

        But all the same way;

        :.:..SHALOM:..:

    • Dr Simone Toto 3 years ago

      UBFE you need help seriously.

    • D-Cardinal 3 years ago

Drawing against S/L that you can’t mention any of their player or club they play for is better than Enyimba loosing to their mates on Continent. Nawa this your school of thought get as e be.The same home base team in the mode of Tunisia drew you in your last friendly match.I can’t remember any Tunisian playing in Europe..to cap it all, your Alex Ferguson is thinking of calling Rinaldo Delima Ighalo back..una dey funny

      • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

        Hahahahaha…home based Tunisia indeed. This was the starting lineup in the friendly match;

        F Ben Mustapha – Al-Shabab (Ighalo’s current team)
        M Drager – (German born) – Olympiacos
D Bronn – (Fance Born) – FC Metz
        Y Meriah – Olympiacos
        O Haddadi – Kasımpaşa
A Ben Slimane – (Denmark born) – Brøndby IF
        E Skhiri – (France born) – 1. FC Köln
A Ben Mohamed – (England born) – Le Havre AC
        H Rafia – (French-tunisian) – Juventus
        W Khazri – (France born) – Saint-Étienne
        Y Msakni – Al Arabi

These are really home-based Tunisia indeed. LMAO

Despite having arguably the best league in Africa, and despite being just a friendly, they are not implementing any riff raff by-force “local content” quota system. They even have as many as 7 foreign borns in their starting XI. The day Rohr will start 7 foreign borns in the SE there will be winter in hell fire….LMAO. Morrocco has won back to back CHANs and has one club winning at least one continental title every year since 2018, but they havent forced home-based players into their national team. …LMAO. There was a time Tunisia would line up almost an all Esperance and Etoile players even at AFCON. There was a time Morrocco too would line up an almost all Raja/Wydad/FAR rabat line up even at AFCON.

Despites still having the best leagues in Africa they have not chosen to celebrate mediocrity but go for the best available for the country at any given time. It is Nigeria where even 2nd division teams kick us out of continental competitions (Thank God CAF paired 2 together this year for us to at least get one to play in the group stages) that mandates listing of homebased players even when it is doubly clear they are not even close to being the best we can offer and at the expense numerous better options including foreign borns. It is in Nigeria you will hear all sort of rubbish policies just because some hungry agents need to be fed…..LMAO

        • D-cardinal 3 years ago

Tunisia won afcon 2004 with majorly home based players,Egypt dominated Africa with home based players and even disgraced our so called European based players( 2010 Afcon),Zambia won against star studded Ivorians with majorly African based players,Nigeria got to win 2013 Afcon, because the then coach thought it wise to infuse hungry and good home based players, who delivered the goods for them, even the star studded Algerian team took Belkhither Mokhtar (Club Africain, Tunisia),to Afcon and he was an integral member of the team, simply because he a good player, questions weren’t raised on them winning CHAN or not.
This is the Tunisian squad that we couldn’t win in a friendly; Moez Ben Cherifia (Esperance), Bechir Ben Said (US Monastir), Aymen Dahmen (CS Sfaxien).
Defenders Ali Maaloul (Al Ahly), Yassine Meriah (Rizespor), Dylan Bronn (FC Metz), Wajdi Kechrida (Etoile du Sahel), Montassar Talbi (Rizespor), Jasser Khmiri (Vancouver Whitecaps), Mohamed Drager (Olympiacos), Oussama Haddadi (Kasimpasa), Ilies Jelassi (US Monastir).
Midfielders Ayman Ben Mohamed (Le Havre), Ahmed Khalil (Club Africain Tunis), Saad Bguir (Abha Club), Naim Sliti (Al-Ettifaq), Mohamed Ben Amor (Etoile du Sahel), Ferjani Sassi (Zamalek SC), Ellyes Skhiri (Cologne),
Forwards Youssef Msakni (Al-Duhail), Seifeddine Jaziri (Al Mokawloon Al Arab SC), Saif Khaoui (Marseille), Hamza Rafia (Juventus U23), Anis Ben Slimane (Brondby IF), Wahbi Khazri (Saint-Etienne). S/L squad that thought our super stars how to play ball had 16 of their squad players from S/L, 1 from China(Hebei china fortune),1 from non professional team in Spain( balompedica linense), 2 from unknown American club’s (Minnesota united and Tampa bay rowdies), it goes on..a team shoes best player is not active player at QPR..Stats don’t lie..don’t say because a good player is home based, he doesn’t deserve a national team opportunity, it is totally wrong and unfair. A confident coach would have invited some since we need just 1 point to qualify ..

          • @D-Cardinal

Nawao… Ur first arguement was that Tunisia used homebase and played out a one-one draw with our foreign base players….

The only able, honorable and reputable @Dr Drey statistically disclose the Tunisian starting xi for all to see.
Over 6 foreign borns were in the starting line up and all the 11 players are base in europe, they spent over 60′(sixty) minute on the pitch b4 some were sub out.

Instead of agreeing to the fact u start listing all the tunisian players in the team as if the tunisian coach used all the 23 players against us….

There’ll be no peace on this forum untill we all speak one mind….

Just accept that ur initial arguement has been bursted, floored & sent to oblivion….

Stop telling us how TUNISIA/EGYPT used home base to win afcon….
Meanwhile the same team cannot even make it to round 16 in world cup after dorminating africa.

We all know it was only ABOABONA that keshi prefered over our aging YOBO.

Till 2morrow i can’t remember the last team S.MBA played for.

After revolving around your argument to ends at the point that “TUNISIA DID NOT USE HOMEBASE TO FORCE US TO DRAW”….
            WHO IS DECEIVING WHO NOW….

LET’S SPEAK WITH ONE MIND ASAP….

            ::::SHALOM::::

          • D-cardinal 3 years ago

@UBFE,your star studded Eagles won the world cup abi..I listed the whole Tunisian so that you will know the kind of European club they play for. European teams that we don’t even consider when picking players.60% of Tunisian team that played us were home based..I argue base on fact and not sentiment..

          • D-Cardinal 3 years ago

Lol I laugh in port Novo..Any day u beat S/L,Tunisia,Dr Congo,Senegal,Algeria, even Uganda, Madagascar, with your European stars then we go hail you.

          • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

            A Maâloul – Al Ahly – 84th minute sub
M Ben Amor – Al Ahly Saudi Arabia – 77th minute sub
            N Sliti – (France born – Ex-Lille, Ex-Dijon player) – Al-Ettifaq Saudi Arabia – 73rd minute Sub
            S Jaziri – Zamalek – 90th minute sub.

These are the Tunisian HOME-BASED players that forced the SE to a draw….last 15 minutes subs….LMAO.

Tunisia won the 2004 AFCON with homebased players (even though there were 11 foreign based players in that squad o…LMAO)….Those were the very best Tunisia could offer at that time (you can name any better Tunisian player in the anywhere in the world at that time that wasnt listed in that squad)…..with Tunisia clubs dominating Africa during that time. Today their best players are not in Tunisian league alone anymore….their league teams are still competing at at least group stages of CAF competitions, they are not forcing homebased players into their national team. They are even playing as many as 8 foreign borns in one match.

Egypt won 2010 Afcon with home-based players….the very best Egypt could offer at that time (you can name any better Egyptian player in the anywhere in the world at that time)…..with their clubs also dominating Africa during that time. Alhaly even won the CAF champions league at a time League football was suspended in Egypt….LMAO….ie no league football for season…yet they still won the CAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE (the same CAF CL your best NPFL teams struggle to reach group stage). That is dominance…..those ones merit to play for their national team. Today their best players are not based in just their domestic league alone anymore….their teams are still as dominant as ever in club competitions on the continent, they are not forcing homebased players into their national team. They are even playing as many as 8 foreign borns in one match.

CAF had to help our destiny this year by pairing 2 Nigerian clubs together b4 we could boast of 1 representative in the group stages. Our league champions could not beat Tanzanian league winners…our FA cup champions could not defeat Senegalese cup champions. The most ‘star-studded’ team in the NPFL needed penalties to beat the representatives of Equatorial Guinean league…..the excuse – late resumption of league – heck alhaly WON CAF CL with ZERO LEAGUE FOOTBALL. And somebody is here telling us homebased won 2004 afcon…home based won 2010 afcon….so home-based in a must in the SE. Person dey compare butterfly with Eagle say both of them get wings….LMAO

The day your NPFL starts producing THE BEST NIGERIAN PLAYERS AVAILABLE at any point in time….the day your NPFL clubs start dominating African club competitions like we were dominating in the late 80’s to mid 90’s…..you can come back and lets have this argument.

          • D-Cardinal 3 years ago

My brother @Dr drey, don’t even mention performances of NPFL club in CAF,when the so called established stars can’t beat lowly S/L, what is your defence on that? Jet lag abi or becos sports minister trained with them or better still the pitch abi? I’ve never mentioned that we have the best of leagues, The question is that do we have good players that are national team materials in NPFL? Yes.when these players play, they play with their heart on their sleeves.. What is wrong in inviting iwuala anayo and maybe Godwin aguda in matches we just need 1 point.in order to ridicule NPFL stars they will invite ezenwa that is not the choice keeper at Heartland.. When ifeanyi anaemens was invited, he was used as a training material, under the guise he is home based, yet we lost that game against S/A 0-2 @ uyo..

          • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

SE drew vs S/L and then….??? We lost to SA in Uyo and then…??? Who still toped and is still topping the group, unbeaten and about to qualify with games to spare for the same competition we clearly used to struggle to qualify for and missed 3 out of 4 times b4 Rohr came…? If our foreign based could not beat S/L national team, is it the ones that got beaten back to back by Togo homebased and later by Capeverde homebased that will….??? We sent 4 representatives to CAF this year….how many of them qualified for the group stages…??? LMAO. YIf we like…let us loose to seychelles and faroe islands, the major objective is qualification. Those loses bcome insignificant afterwards. thats why its a qualifying series

Anayo Iwuala this….Anaemena that…Aguda this…where were they all when they couldnt reach group stages of CAF CL and CAF CC respectively…?? Which one of them has reached back-to-back semifinals of continental club competitions like Oboabona did before taking a rightful place in the heart of the SE defence…?? They are all training materials….yes…I said so…they are all training materials. We dont need training materials in the SE as it is now…we have 23 of our BEST playing in Europe…down to goalkeepers. We need game changers now….people who will come in and raise the quality and potentials of the team by 5 notches. We dont want people who just want to “gain confidence” as you and your fellow advocates usually say. The national team is not a place to ‘gain confidence’.

Ive told you b4…..and I repeat….The day your NPFL starts producing THE BEST NIGERIAN PLAYERS AVAILABLE at any point in time….the day your NPFL clubs start dominating African club competitions like we were dominating in the late 80’s to mid 90’s….you can come back and lets have this argument.

          • D-Cardinal 3 years ago

Hahahahaha..u funny my good friend Dr..SE lost but your concern is qualifying, if it comes to that, Amodu sahibu should be best coach we’ve had, because he qualified us on many occasions to competitions.Abeg Togo ,cape Verde and S/L which team strong pass.the home base players u dey criticize won you Afcon 2013..one day we go realize this …meanwhile beat Benin then we go believe you..Lol

          • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

Hehehehehe…what has Amodu go to do with this discussion….LMAO. Are you running out of point already..? Amodu qualified us for competions…yea…that is why we still mention him today. But we dont have Amodu anymore….neither do we have Keshi. May their gentle souls continue to rest in peace. But life continues, dead men dont coach….else we would have gone to dig them up to sit on our bench after our so-called guadiolas failed woefully. The closest we have to both men currently is the man in charge….take it or deal with it.
Togo homebased (teams B) is not Togo main team. Togo’s main team is dominated by foreign based professionals, including foreign borns. Capeverde homebased (team B) is not Capeverde Main team. Cape Verde’s main team is dominated by foreign based professionals, mostly born in spain or portugal and playing in both spanish and portugese leagues. Both homebased teams can NEVER be anywhere near S/L main team because S/L’s main team too is dominated by foreign based professionals. If your homebased couldnt beat any of those their fellow homebased in 3 attempts they would never have been able to beat S/L main team. If losing back-to-back to Togo homebased is not shameful, losing to Capeverde is utter disgrace. Your NPFL players cannot close eyes and defeat players from Capeverdian league….LMAO…I mean CapeVerdian league….more like Alimosho local government league….LMAO. Or what kind of league is a country of 600k people supposed to have..?? Do cape verde league clubs even get to play in CAF competitions…???LMAO

Homebased did not win us AFCON 2013…we won afcon inspite of the homebased. Victor Moses conjured the 2 penalties in the last 10 minutes that saved us from being kicked out of the group stages by Ethiopia. Vincent Enyeama produced an insane save from pointblank range from Salledine Said’s header that could have made it 1:1 in the 85th minute and probably seen us crash out of the tournament after our 3rd group match. Those where the tournament defining moments for us….those were the moments that even ensured we still remained in the competition in the first place. 5 Nigerian players were in the CAF team of the tournament…none was homebased…..the cumulative appearances of players we took to the tournament, from day 1 to the last day of the tournament had less than 10% homebased players…..so how homebased won us 2013 AFCON remains a mystery. If homebased won us mighty AFCON why couldnt they win the lower level CHAN. We spent 1 year of camping the homebased players and 7 international friendly matches to get just 2…just 2 who could play with the foreign based players and 1 which could last 2 years in the national team and you claim they won us AFCON…..LMAO. If that is the case then homebased also won us 1994 AFCON since Edema Fuludu was part of the squad too…..LMAO.
Whether we beat Benin or we dont beat Benin, we are qualifying for the next AFCON before the Lesotho game…and that’s a fact…and that’s all that matters. You can take that to the bank. And just like I said earlier, your current homebased are all training materials…they are not anywhere near THE BEST we have and that is a FACT. We dont need training materials in the SE as it is now. We have 23 of our BEST playing in Europe…down to goalkeepers. When your homebased players start reaching semifinals and finals of CAF competitions like Oboabona (the only homebased player that could compete and last longest -2 years plus- in the SE), then they can come and train with the big boys. At least they would have shown they can compete with and are better than their mates on the continent before thinking of trying the ones competing in Europe for size. Elmerriek who roasted the best of all 4 of Nigeria’s reps on the continent, Enyimba, are currently being bruised and battered in the group stages….that’s to show you we are not even up to scratch with the rest of the continent at the moment.
Morrocco has won back to back CHANs, Moroccan clubs have won CAF competitions EVERY YEAR since 2018…they are not forcing hombased players into their national team if they dont constitute the BEST Moroccan players available. Na we wey even 2nd division teams dey bundle our clubs comot for prelims of CAF competitions naim want force homebased into our national teams at the expense of far better and more deserving players lighting up Europe…..LMAO. Naija bu Naija.
            Enough of promotion of mediocrity.

        • D-cardinal 3 years ago

Please tell them that Hamza Rafia plays for Juventus U23..Juventus feeder team, that one na Juventus?

          • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

No, Juventus U 23 nor be Juventus. Na Juvesperance Tunis …no sorry…na Juventoile du Sahel. When Ihenancho started playing for Nigeria in 2015, nor be Mancity U21, reserves and main team he dey shuttle..?? Was he not still playing in FA U21 league, FA youth cup and UEFA youth champions league then…?? Did it stop him from being a man city player, or did it made him a home-based…? Abi wetin this one dey talk now….. LMAO. Hamza Rafia has already played in the Coppa Italia for the main Juventus and even scored for the main squad. He was part of the main squad for preseason and has been named on the main team’s matchday squad this season not once, not twice. Look for another propaganda to spill….LMAO.
They are just looking for whataboutries to justify their false claims….LMAO.
I thought you claimed the entire Tunisian team was homebased and you cant even recall ANY TUNISIAN PLAYER PLAYING IN EUROPE….??? LMAO

  • UBFE,

I have been watching you but deliberately chose to ignore you. Mind yourself. I ask you again: mind yourself. A lot of what you write most of the time makes no sense but people just ignore you.

Mind yourself. I repeat, mind yourself.

    • That guy is just opinionated. I don’t want to use more specific adjectives that articulates his views and seeming objectives, but it’s sad.

Occasional banters are good, even if a few heavy jabs are thrown in-between. But always fishing for relevance by needlessly attacking people’s unbiased views? SMH.

You see, Dr.Drey and Jimmyball often have a go at each other on Junior Ajayi, Olayinka Peters and sundry matters and most of us enjoy the cerebral combat. They often laugh over it in the end and e-shake hands. Beautiful!

With UBFE, Omo9ja used to be his target practice, but Omo9ja as usual ignores. Hardly takes offence, no matter the amount of mud you throw at him.

UBFE will just perch on an opinion (I know what influences his views) and will willy nilly try to force it down on other’s throats.

Like @Nigeria Bebeto said below, some of us are adults and fathers & naturally ignore some submissions.

Good, bad or ugly, please put some moderation on it and people can be okay with your “type.”

      • @kel…

With all these your grammers, the point is “did i directly/indirectly” use abusive words on him?

I used the phrase “let us”…. Meaning i’m inclussive, over 200milion nigerians are inclusive….
But he decide to interpreat his own way….

As per @omo9ja’s case pls don’t just go there….

        Sometimes u see me hailing him with words like “…omo9ja has spoken…”,,,,, “…so says omo9ja…”,,,, “…omosomething, omojigjgi…” et all….

Not bcos what he says is correct but sometimes he says it for fun and i just smile while reading through the lines…

To be frank, apart from the likes of @Dr Drey, @Oakfield, @Glory, @Ola and all their likes; it’s only @Omo9ja’s & @Jimmyball’s comment i read and laugh over it….

I skip the rest most atimes….

Oga @Kel pls don’t just go that side bikonu….
        Acuse me of something else….

        ::::SHALOM::::

  • Dear Contributors of Complete Sports Nigeria,

I ask you all to kindly ask Mr UBFE to please stay off my contributions. When next he insults me as he has been doing for quite sometime and also did today, foul language will flow.

I have tolerated this man for a long time but I will no longer do this going forward. When I choose to react in my own way to his aggression, I will not apologise to anybody for my utterances.

Please, I beg whomever reads this to ask Mr UBFE to stay off my contributions and to stop insulting me indirectly.

If he insults me again, this platform will not be big enough for the both of us.

    Kind regards

    deo

  • @deo.

Where is the insult in my comment?

    When did i indirectly say ” u aren’t sincere” when i’m using the phrase “let us”…. Meaning i’m inclussive….

So where is the insult thrown at u….

That’s the last thing i do on this forum….

If that’s the way u interpreat it no wahala….

    • I woke up this morning to the news that our NPFL will be sending 2 players to the national teams of Cameroon and Benin Republic in the coming Afcon qualifiers. Naturally as a Nigerian, that made me happy and filled me with a sense of pride.

What the hell is wrong with that?

What the hell is wrong with this platform? How come people cannot come here and express joy for the NPFL without people like you UBFE ruining it? Must everything be bitter argument?

Where did you see me mention Super Eagles?

Where did you see me ask for homebased players to be included to the Super Eagles squad in this contribution?

Where??? Please show me. Copy and paste where I linked any of my contributions to the Super Eagles…

Am I not allowed to be happy for the NPFL?

Should I be frightened to come here and contribute because of UBFE?

What is the bloody meaning of this?

      What is your problem??????

If I am happy for the NPFL does that now mean I want homebased players to be invited to the Super Eagles??????

This used to be a very family oriented platform where people come to share their views in a relaxed brotherly way.

Unfortunately we the UBFEs of this world who just want to argue, bully and harass others.

      WELL, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!!!!!

but you should expect things like these na, its a public forum, public forums are not friendly anymore these days. Don’t warn anybody, go for him if you hate what he has said, i won’t advice you use foul languages though, only the mentally weak use foul languages

please my people a word is enough for the wise, air your view\comment without insults or abusive words most of us here are fathers and our sons come here to read our comments,…. it is very bad if we begin to insult our selves instead of contributing what we fill will be good for our dear country… stay off means stay , do not reply my comment do not …. say your own and move on we are adults … i enjoy everybody comment Deo you are doing well, UBFE you are also good , Dr drey na man you be …. you are also good and many of you who i enjoy reading their comment …. no insults please guys ….

    • When has it become a crime to be happy for the NPFL????

      Am I missing something here?????

Does the world of Nigerian football revolve just around the Super Eagles?????

      Bloody hell !!!

      Anyways, thanks bro.

      • Bomboy 3 years ago

@ deo, even if you suggested that the home based players be invited to the Super Eagles, there is nothing wrong with that either. It is just an opinion! What is this forum for if people can’t share their opinions without fear of being insulted? The self-respecting ones have stopped commenting because of the level of immaturity in this forum…

  • lanre 3 years ago

UBFE no shaking……i read your comment nd i couldn’t find any insult……just be yourself…..WE ARE WITH YOU…..one love…….ahahahahaha

    • Dr Simone Toto 3 years ago

Clone of drey I have never seen anyone take UBFE serious except you. Omo9ja has been ridiculed several times as a comedian but UBFE is not different from Bhuari who can not give a clear view of a particular topic. So for someone to come and say he sees wisdom in what he’s saying its either the person is teasing or he’s just a clone and we know you. UBFE is a very big Fool

    • Dr Simone Toto 3 years ago

@Drey stop feeding yourself with lies when next you try to make a point, Eyimba defeated Al Merrikh of Sudan whom you know is even stronger than Sierra Leone when you look at the squad depth and history they have in African football but you come here lying that no home based local side have won of late. Bro get your facts right no one is calling for home based but don’t talk trash of home based just because you want to talk people down here, IDIOT when next you try to support your ignorant ubfe think well.

  • @Dr Simon Toto

i’ll pardon u for the first time.

Mind u, i made a comment here void of foul language and somebody strongly warned me not to insult him whereas there was nothing like insult on that thread.

U come up boldly and start using foul language on me and others.

I made my point which i’m entitle to just like others and u start abusing me…. I woun’t say anything than to warn u.

Stay clear from my comment…. Infact once u see my name without reading it just strike the “dislike box” ASAP.

I repeat; STAY CLEAR FROM MY COMMENT ON THIS FORUM ELSE…

I argue with well-behaved and mature people which evidence is seen above.

Respect yourself and stay clear from my comment.

I wonder why u should even spend your time reading a thread u claim to be “nonesense” or whatever.

I said something which i observe about our homebase players of recent and @D-Cardinal countered it with his own assumption which prompt @Dr drey to come up with a concrete and genuine stats/fact which is undeniable.

Instead of u to go thru it in peace and learn u start displaying what was injected in u.

Mind yourself oooo…. If not this forum nor go contain 2 of us ooo.

    I don finish my own.

There’re comment on this forum i don’t read at aaaaaaal. I just avoid them as plague…. Do same with my thread biko…..

  • As we all know, we’re the product of our environment…

I was opportuned to grow up in environment where insults, abuses & foul language is a taboo hence i can’t use it on anybody…

Since i can’t use all those abusive words to hit back at somebody, i decide to do my things my own way…..

Anybody that knows this guy (ABI NA MAN) by name @Dr Simone Toto should pls warn him to stay clear from my thread…. Tell him i don’t like those foul language at all…. Tell him to skip my comment afterall we have so many commenters on this forum….

A word is enough for the wise….

Hehehehehe! I just dey laugh. For someone to successfully provoke Deo to anger, that person must be a highly skilled trouble maker.
Congrats, UB wetin, you achieved the difficult task of annoying one of the most coolheaded, easy going guys in the forum!
And you keep saying shalom which means peace, yet you’re anything but peaceful.
Even Omo9ja has not racked up as much dislike in this forum as you have. Wake up and smell the coffee. Everybody can’t be wrong. You must be doing something wrong. Stay in your lane, or you will continue to receive pain.
    I come in peace.

    • @Pompei

i like when somebody boldly points out my mistakes not sitting down to imagine something.

Atleast everybody on this forum can read and understand, pls go back to the first thread i made and point out where i directly insult anybody as per this subject. Copy it and paste asap.

Who cares about likes and dislikes?

In my own part, striking any of it shows the number of peoply that actually have time for what i wrote which i’m ok.

When did “likes” or “dislikes” become an accolade on this forum?

      Hahahahahahaa….

Wonders shall never seize to end especially in this local biome called nigeria…

When i use the word “SHALOM”, i only declare peace to everyone…
      Nothing more than that….

I may decide to say “it is well”…

The only problem as far as this forum is concer is bcos of the divided opinion we possess. Until we all compromise our stand they’ll never be “unity” On this forum.

As things stands, we see 2 groups of contributors on this forum.

      Let me not push further.

      :::SHALOM:::

      • pompei 3 years ago

My man, I’m not talking about “likes” and “dislikes”.
Perhaps I should have used words like “contempt”, “hostility”, “animosity”.
Likes and dislikes will not put food on my table or pay my bills.
I appreciate intelligent, frank, well researched write ups. And your comments fail to tick any of these boxes, not just for me, but for most people. You even go the extra mile by annoying and irritating people with your condescending manner. You may not use abusive words, but the way you put people down has made you quite unpopular in the forum.
Mr. Shalom, try to help promote a peaceful environment here by toning down your supercilious comments. Even if it is true that you’re the wisest, smartest, most brilliant person in this forum, try to have some respect and regard for other people’s opinions.

  • “…i appreciate intellegent, frank, well researched write ups. And your comments fail to tick any of these boxes, not just for me, but for most people…”

    who cares?

I say what’s on my mine i don’t get time to edit.

enyi…Biko…Pls why must u even read a comment that lacks the ingredient u need?

U know my write ups lacks what u need, once u see my name don’t border reading the rubbish, just skip it or go straight and strike the “dislike box” asap.

To be frank, i rarely read your comment on this forum.

If not that u mention my name i wouldn’t have read this too.

Comment i don’t pass by without reading are the ones from @Dr Drey, @Oakfield, @Lanre, @Sean, @Debank, @Glory,@Ola &(@omo9ja, @jimmyball though their opinions is not in accordance with mine but u see maturity in their write ups…. No abusive or foul language especially @omo9ja).

Pls oga @Pompei do same to my post by skipping it.

Let’s end this conversation here pls.

      Over and out.

  • Ayphillydegreat 3 years ago

UBFE in all honesty you haven’t done anything wrong to insult anyone on this thread. I’ve read the whole comments with keen interest to see where you insulted anyone and I haven’t seen any. I don’t know if I’m missing something here. Obviously, sometimes we get on our skins on this forum at times, but that’s the way it is. There’s nothing wrong in countering other people’s comments as long it’s done in a civilized way. From what I’ve read on this thread I don’t see anywhere UBFE directly or indirectly insulted anyone. You may have in the past like everybody else including my noble self. We don’t have to agree with each other on any issue that’s why it’s called a forum. You’re one of the true SuperEagles fans I know on this forum. You don’t press the panic button like some of our so called progressives do and are currently doing. Some are waiting for doomsday to happen to the SuperEagles under Rohr so that they can say I told you so, but I’m sure the SuperEagles will silence them in due time. Shalom my friend.

    • @Aiphyllidegreat.

Thanks a lot my big boss….

Their whatever cannever make me to remain silent when i see the truth….

I’ll say it out no matter how bitter it is….

This is a forum where we all air our views.

    • Dear AY,

Thank you for wading into this matter. We may have had our differences in the past, we may currently have a difference of opinion on a broad range of topics. Nonetheless, you are someone I hold in much high esteem on this platform.

Let me tell you why I got upset.

I made a comment totally unrelated to the Super Eagles. All I did was to express my joy for the NPFL because the league will be sending no less than 2 players to the upcoming Afcon qualifiers.

AY, please scroll through my comment, you will see it has nothing to do with the Super Eagles or homebased players’ invitation to the Super Eagles.

Now, Mr UBFE will respond by taking the direction of my comment to unintended area. As a result of my comment, he advised Nigerians to shun MEDIOCRITY and then (as a direct response to my comment) he asks Nigerians to be “SINCERE” with ourselves.

AY, you have challenged the ‘essence’ of my contributions on several occasions. You have challenged the ‘scope’ and ‘angle’ even the ‘tone’ of my submissions.

But you have neither attached “MEDIOCRITY” to my submissions nor have you impliedly challenged my “SINCERITY”.

This is not Mr. UBFE’s first time. Do you remember when I wrote a piece about the permutations that could work against Nigeria if we fail to get maximum points against Benin? I was attacked by Mr UBFE on that as well.

This platform – any football platform – will not be lively and interesting if it is devoid of diverse views.

You and I have different views about Gernot Rohr and how he is handling the national team but I respect your views nonetheless. You articulate them well and you back them up with cogent and sound reasoning.

What else can I ask for?

Doesn’t mean I agree with you but I thoroughly respect your views and I value your opinions.

I will never (however I try to hide it) attribute “mediocrity” or “in sincerity” to your contributions.

That is not fair, that is not acceptable and no one has to just sit back and accept it.

  • Sunnyb 3 years ago

Inviting  Iwala from the local league against Benin and  Lesotho won’t be a bad idea, folks finidi was given a shot in 1992 from local league. I understand our league is bad right now, but I think the Iwala guy  can be useful against this two african opponents. @AY, we need to stop this notion that some people on this forum  wants Rohr to fail. Pointing out his flaws doesn’t me mean we hate him or we wanted him to fail.Bro u know the super Eagles are underperforming right now, ppl have the right to question Rohr’s tactics, we shouldn’t question their patriotism for asking questions.

    • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

Someone actually prayed on this forum a few days ago for the SE to lose to Benin so that Rohr can be fired. Like seriously..??? That shows the mentality of the average black man….he will rather the whole community be set ablaze for him to eat roasted yam. Some people would rather prefer we fail to qualify for AFCON just because of their HATRED for Rohr. Our dear Omo9ja who always claims to love Rohr even called for Rohr to be sacked after qualifying for the 2019 AFCON (a tournament we had not attended in nearly 6 years) right there in Johannesburg with a game to spare despite losing his 1st match of the qualifying series.
We are still firmly leading our group and they are already wishing the nation bad-luck just because we played 2 draws with S/L. When in our history of qualifying for tournaments have we played 2 consecutive draws and still remained top of the group with possibility of qualification with games to spare…???? I cant remember. If you think there are people here who dont want Rohr to fail, I’m sorry you are HEAVILY mistaken. That sounded so much like a political statement.

  • Additionally AY, Mr Hush has challenged my opinion more than once. Big D has challenged my opinions so many times (even you and Big D have argued several times). Pompei and I will never see eye-to-eye on Daniel Akpeyi. Dr Drey and I will never see eye to eye on Gernot Rohr. Greenturf and I argued about Wilson Oruma. Chairmanfemi and I argued about Akpeyi… And so on.

I can mention so many people I have had ‘healthy arguments’ with on this platform on a range of issues.

That is allowed. But to discreetly attribute mediocrity and insincerity to others simply because you don’t understand them or you don’t agree with them is just unacceptable.

I pray to you and I continue to disagree on a range of issues because I believe that way, we can engage in healthy debates and increase our knowledge in a fun, vibrant and warm way.

  • Ayphillydegreat 3 years ago

@deo. I see where you’re coming from. I will accept that the word mediocrity is the reason for the  animosity. Though most people have used the word on this forum on numerous occasions so associate the SuperEagles with it. A lot of forumites here have called this current set of SuperEagles a mediocre team. But I will apologize on behalf of UBFE for associating your write up to that word. However, at one point or the other we’ve all had way more disparaging and derogatory words on this forum and I will implore we all stop using fowl language on each other again on this forum. There’s nothing wrong in disagreement. We agree to disagree in most cases, but we should do it with civility. One love everyone.

    • Thanks AY,

You see, I love it when people counter my views and opinions. For me it is an opportunity to see things from another perspective and probably acquire fresh knowledge.

The last time we sparred about Rohr’s statement on Nigeria not being able to win the world cup, one thing you would not have known is that you provided me with fresh insight on certain areas including but not limited to the make up of the Super Eagles squad to the 1998 world cup.

      So, I thank you.

So, like you said, let the debates continue in a mature manner that enhances the positive experience we should all derive from sharing our thoughts here.

When they can boast of playing for Manchester United of England, win AFCON top scorer award, join the elite league of players to have ever score a hattrick for Nigeria and overtake Ighalo’s goals-per-game ratio and total goals record, then your argument will become valid and we will start helping you to look for cure for your stupidity.

I can see you just want attention, with all these your senseless ramblings…..LMAO

          Compound fool.

You will earn more respect on this forum doing your rice is better than beans argument….LMAO….instead of what you want to start forcing your dead brain to do now…..LMAO.

  • Thanks to everyone who has mediated on the disagreement between Mr. UBFE and myself.

We both have now put this matter behind us and ask everyone to do the same.

We are committed to sharing our thoughts on this platform in a respectable manner so that we all derive positive and pleasurable experience from visiting this platform.

    Cheers.

  • AY, one area we never fail to agree on is our faith in Iheanacho to come good despite his Leicester travails.

Your boy has just scored a sublime goal against Brighton.

Go Iheanacho! Go Iheanacho! Go Iheanacho!

    • Ayphillydegreat 3 years ago

Thanks deo. You see I’ve never lost a pinch of faith on Kelechi Iheanacho. He was heads above every player on the pitch today and capped it off with a sublime finish typical of him. Iheanacho, Osimhen, Ndidi are Nigeria’s hope to win anything on the continent with this set of SuperEagles. I hope he continues with this form till we travel to Porto Novo for the crucial qualifier.

that is matured of both deo and ubfe, disagreement does not translate to hatred at times. that being said, someone said earlier that kashi won 2013 nations cup with majority of home based. hmmmm

please those that said home base won 2013 should explain how only six homes became majority of the teams. and one played all the matches, oboabona. mba was played four matches of which not 90 mins, then ejike was just one match against Ethiopia. while the rest were just spetator. efe played to the highest level, kenneth is still playing, yobo will all know, so were is oboabona and Egwuekwe. moses is still playing active football, musa we all know, brown a household name, emineke not a stranger were is ejike.

You see……even you are not understanding your stupidity anymore. Its like whoever tied your destiny to a tree is using it to pound black soap now.
Your kindred need to take you out of the gutters you came from to pollute this forum first, and go give you a thorough spiritual bath. When a human descends to the level of a dog, even to the point of naming himself after his mother’s genitals….then you know that ‘many are his afflictions’

The owners of this forum are not complaining about my arguments….readers on the forum love them, enjoy them and even yearn to read them. I even have disciples, followers, clones and even victims. You that your own argument is the real deal what have you achieved other than to even earn yourself a comparison with animals…..LMAO. Hahaha you think Lagos is a paradise? Maybe to you and Bhuari junior it is but to me its a no no. The last time i could remember Lagos was a major disgrace starting from the airport that there was light out to the streets where the roads was nothing to write home about with the non regulatory traffic omg, infact my wife was disappointed after all the mouth i made that in Nigeria we have decent places like island but truth be told Lagos is a disgrace because passing through mainland to Island didn’t do my testament any good. I don’t think there’s any major change from 2years because we hear day in and out of Bhuari funny exploits that dumb youths like yourself and drey can do nothing about after voting him into power two times. LMAO funny looking Lagos painted with egungun decors, una go hear am no be only endsars na endtime.

Amidst all the Jabs, fights and orisirisi above, I only want to give Kudos to @D-Cardinal for saying the truth notwithstanding @Drey and his co-horts opinion.

Am a man of Integrity. When I see truth, I go for it. When things are not well as it is in the Super Eagle today, I speak against it so we can get it right. Not cover up for Rohr and those ajebos because of my blind love for them. How can you @Drey and company try to (out of love for Rohr and his team) make loosing to Sierra Leone something normal or make Sierra Leone a team we should respect so highly that it is normal we go 4 goals up against them and loose it??? Ahhhh! Fear God na. A whole Super Eagle!! Please let’s speak the truth when it’s obvious. We won Algeria years back cleanly but obviously something is now wrong, we can’t win them again. They are now so-called Imortals to some Rohr-addict and we keep on loosing our victory like we did against Tunisia and Sierra Leone and you think all is well?? Na real wa. Again, Kudos @D-Cardinal for speaking the truth

Clap for yourself. The truth definitely must be to start sacrificing meritocracy in players selections for mediocrity, because other great teams around the world use their National teams as a place to ‘build confidence’. You indeed stand for the truth…LMAO. We have once lost to Congo (not even DRC) on homesoil and Sudan (1st ever loss to sudan) away in the same qualifying series and ended up not even managing to finish 2nd in the group to qualify as best loosers, but we play 2 draws vs S/L AND STILL TOPPING THE GROUP by a point and still on course to end qualification with a game to spare and then heavens should fall down and the coach be fired….LMAO. A whole Super Eagles has never lost to S/L before….LMAO. The last time I checked, a whole super eagles could not QUALIFY for 3 out of 4 AFCONS even as best loosers….LMAO. A whole super eagles were been mowed by all and sundry including on homesoil by the likes of Kenya an Uganda….LMAO.

Clap for yourselves oh ye harbingers of the truth….LMAO
