The 29-year-old has starred for the Catalans since joining from Valencia in 2012, making 281 appearances in all competitions.
Capped 67 times by La Roja, the left-back is still one of the best around and has scored two goals and contributed 14 assists from 35 outings this term.
His contract was due to expire in the summer of 2020 but, according to Sport, dialogue has been ongoing between the player’s representatives and Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu.
It seems as though all parties are happy with the situation, with reports that Alba will sign a new five-year deal at Camp Nou to end speculation about his future.
