Dele Alli says he is “hungry’ to enjoy further success with Tottenham and believes he can continue to improve as a player.
It is four years since Alli first burst on to the scene in north London following his move from MK Dons and he has gone on to score 53 goals in 184 appearances for Spurs, while also helping them through to a first Champions League final last season.
There is no danger of the England international taking his foot off the gas, however, as he is hungry for further success, which could culminate in Spurs winning their first major trophy under Mauricio Pochettino.
“I’m as hungry as I always was when I first came here,” Alli told the Spurs website. “I still want to achieve a lot more and that won’t stop. Alli will not turn 24 until next April and believes he still has plenty of scope to improve after only finding the back of the net five times in the Premier League last season. “I feel like I’m in a great place to continue learning,” the midfielder added.
“I’m still young and excited to keep learning and improving as a player. “It would be nice to get a few more goals and assists this season, but that’s not what my whole game is based on.”11 BUSINESS NUGGETS FROM SUPER EAGLES BRONZE MEDAL TRIUMPH.
