Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah has disclosed that manager Xavi Alonso is only deploying Super Eagles winger Nathan Tella as a false striker.
The Nigerian international has been deployed as a striker due to injury to Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface and Patrik Schick.

Speaking on Tella’s new role in the team, Tah, in a chat with Kicker, stated that he should not be blamed if things didn’t work out well for Leverkusen.
“I don’t know how often he has played as a single centre forward. We have played with him and Amine Adli from time to time, but not with him alone. He did well,” Tah was quoted as saying by Kicker.
“Of course, in some phases and moments we lack a clear centre forward, but we just have to deal with it at the moment.”
