Manchester City midfielder, Kevin De Bruyne has heaped praises on his young teammate and Argentina striker, Julian Alvarez, describing the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner as a very talented player.
Alvarez was a revelation at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar scoring four goals in seven games as Argentina claimed the trophy.
De Bruyne said he was glad that the 22-year-old Argentina striker has a FIFA World Cup winner medal in his kitty.
“I’m happy for him, he’s a very nice guy and very shy,” Be Soccer quoted De Bruyne as saying.
“I think when he came to the club there was talk about this young talent from Argentina and at the beginning we saw that he was a very talented player.”
Alvarez has found the net thrice in 12 Premier League games for Manchester City so far this season.
Argentina defeated France 4-2 on penalties following a 3-3 tie to win Qatar 2022 on December 18 at the Lusail Iconic Stadium.
