AC Milan head coach Ruben Amorim has revealed that Samuel Chukwueze will be assessed over the next few days following a hip injury.
The Nigeria international missed Wednesday morning’s training session ahead of AC Milan’s UEFA Europa League clash against Premier League side Bournemouth.
Chukwueze was expected to undergo a specialist examination on Wednesday to determine the extent of the injury.
There are fears that the problem could be serious enough to sideline the winger for several weeks or even months, depending on the outcome of the assessment.

However, Amorim has confirmed that the club will continue to monitor the winger’s condition before making a decision on his availability.
“Tomorrow we will see the starting XI. Gonçalo has nothing serious. Chukwueze is a little bit different. I will see in the next few days. We are going to assess Chukwueze,” Amorim was quoted as saying by Football Italia.
“But if you look at all of Europe, teams with a lot of competitions have a lot of problems with injuries. We are trying to make our rotations, we are trying to prepare every player to play the game. Cisse is going to play tomorrow, I already said that. The position, you have to wait until tomorrow.”
Chukwueze has made an encouraging start to the season under Amorim following his return from a loan spell at Fulham.
The 27-year-old has recorded two assists in eight appearances across all competitions for the Roosoneri this season.
