Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti says he is optimistic the club can get a deal over the line to sign Real Madrid attacker James Rodriguez.
Following two seasons on loan at Bayern Munich, James is back at the Santiago Bernabeu and looks destined for another move away from Los Blancos this summer.
Having already worked with the Colombian international during their time in the Spanish capital together, Azzurri manager Ancelotti is hopeful they can secure James’ services before the window closes.
“There is neither optimism nor pessimism, we’ll see what happens,” the Napoli coach said about any move for James this summer. “He’s a player that interests us. “Real Madrid want to sell him and we want [to buy] him. Everything is open.”
