Aribo Eager To Make Home Debut For Super Eagles Against Benin

Glasgow Rangers midfielder Joe Aribo is looking forward to playing on a Nigerian turf, in front of football-loving compatriots for the first time, reports Completesports.com.

Aribo, 23, scored a goal each in his first two games with the Super Eagles against Ukraine in Dnipro and five-time world champions Brazil in Singapore.

Wednesday’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying game against the Squirrels of Benin at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium Uyo will be the first time Aribo will playing in front of Nigerian fans.

And the former Charlton Athletic star can’t wait to play his first home game and enjoy the atmosphere.

”It is always good to be part of the international squad, it is an honour to represent my country,” Aribo told Rangers TV.

“I’m just happy to be part of the team and I can’t wait to go out there [Uyo] to play”.

Aribo has scored one goal and recorded four assists in 10 Scottish Premier League appearances for Rangers this season.

He is expected to get a starting berth when the Super Eagles face Benin on Wednesday.

This is the spirit. Only players with a burning desire should henceforth be invited to the S.E.pls i wana use this meduim to advise NFF and Rohr to stop begging any players :home or foreign bred to play for the S. E. its a big shame for Tammy and Eze to turn down playing for the S. E. As a matter of fact none of them is as jay jay, Or kanu who once begged to don the colours of Nigeria. Cyriel who plays for heracles in the Holland is begging Nigeria for a call up. he is far better than Tammy Abraham. he also has the spirit. so why not quickly get him and other players with such mindset. See small Ebere Eze who play in the championship snubbing SE. please stop this shit

please somebody should go and watch SC Heerenveen 2-1 Sparta Rotterdam and see the kind of goals chidera ejuke is scoring there also heracles 6 vs vvv. venlo 1

Royce i just did as you suggested, and honestly that Ejuke guy is another version of Samuel kalu only that this is the advanced version of Kalu because he has more pace and more gas to burn for 90mins and as for dessers he is surely the next clinical no9 we’r gonna have after Osimhen no doubt.

@chryx royce, good job. This chidera ejuke is a fantastic player. I just watched the highlights on YouTube now.

I’m just wondering why we fans are the best to see raw talents than our coaches.

Is that laziness or what? Well, I still don’t know.

All they know how to do best is to bring back Akpeyi and co while we still having better players and world class goalkeepers out there waiting for their call. Hmmm… this is very annoying. God bless Nigeria!!!

Wow,I think the only edge kalu has is the defensive he plays…
Ejuke is fast, dribbles well, create chances, his passes are dope…

He can fit in well in a 4-3-3 formation..
And also a super eagles ready made material..
