Aribo Guns For 7th Rangers Goal, Eager to Keep Improving

Joe Aribo will be gunning for his seventh goal in all competitions for Glasgow Rangers who play host to Kilmarnock in a Scottish Premier League game at the Ibrox Stadium on today (Boxing Day), Completesports.com reports.

The Super Eagles midfielder recorded his sixth goal in 30 appearances across all competitions for Rangers in a 3-0 bashing of home side, Hibernian, at the Easter Road Stadium last week Friday.

He also had a hand in Rangers’ opening goal on four minutes, forcing the opposition goalkeeper into committing an error after which he shot the Gers 2-0 up in the eighth minute.

And going into today’s match, Aribo has insisted that there is a lot more to come from him. The 23-year-old has told Rangers fans that they are even yet to see the best of him.

Aribo told Herald Scotland: “I don’t want to talk too highly of myself. As the season goes on, people can judge me. But I would say there is more to come.”

The Nigeria international has been in scintillating form for the Gers in the last few weeks after the club’s head coach, Steven Gerrard appeared to tweak his position.

The Rangers boss seems to have given Aribo a free role to roam about the field and that freedom is definitely having a positive effect on the attacking midfielder’s game.

Aribo who joined the Ibrox side in the summer after leaving Charlton Athletic has scored two goals and contributed five assists in 15 league appearances for Rangers this season.
