Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare is closing in on a move to Dutch giants Ajax from Sky Bet Championship club Wolverhampton Wanderers, reports Completesports.com.
According to renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Ajax have reached a club-to-club agreement with Wolves for the Nigerian striker.
Ajax Win Race For Arokodare
The deal is expected to be a season-long loan with an option to buy worth slightly more than €20 million.
“Ajax are closing in on a deal to sign Tolu Arokodare as new striker from Wolves. Club-to-club agreement done on loan with buy option for a package slightly over €20m,” Romano posted on X.

“Ajax wanted Tolu as their priority target, club sources confirm — now working on the final details.”
Fiorentina, Genoa Also Interested
Arokodare has also attracted interest from Serie A sides Fiorentina and Genoa in recent weeks, but Ajax have now emerged as the frontrunners for his signature.
The 25-year-old joined Wolves from Belgian Pro League side KRC Genk last summer and made 33 Premier League appearances in his debut campaign, scoring three goals and providing one assist.
A move to Ajax would hand Arokodare the opportunity for more regular first-team football as the Eredivisie champions strengthen their squad for the new season.

I knew this will happen, well ajax is not bad club anyway, I pray you shine there.
I prefer Ajax to Venezia. Top clubs buys from Ajax compared to Venezia that has no history of selling to top clubs. Let the deal happen Tolu
Ajax is NOT the EREDIVISIE champion. They are not seeing their period for some time now
@messaih, wether ajax is dead or still alive, at least the club wasn’t relegated like wolves. I believe the club as dead as it can be will still be competiting in Europe this season.
To me if this come trough it is second chance and life line for him.
I don’t see ajax battling relegation like the way conventry city, fulham,Northinhamforest, Venezia, and other yeye and wiked clubs that our over hype players use to adore.
If this turn out to be true let him prove himself at ajax.
The value of our players has dropped drastically and no big club is coming for them again.
Chukwueze has been given a second chance to cement a place in the heart of AC Milan, if he likes let him be doing a flash in the pan like he has always been doing.
Ajax traditionally is a top side in Europe and an example of a European fallen giant that recently bounced back to achieve a major domestic landmark despite a catastropic, history decline.
They have great history despite the downturn, just like you rightly said, elite teams will trust to recruit from Ajax because it’s regarded just like Juventus,AC Milan,Manchester United,Rangers these teams are not formidable as they used to,but have made a landmark which cannot be erased…
Financial collapse and liquidation forced some of these teams down.
A move to Ajax is good for Tolu, hoping it sails through.Though I would have preferred Fiorentina, but Ajax still as good…
