Arsenal Join AC Milan In Race For Chukwueze

Arsenal have joined Serie A giants AC Milan in the race for Villarreal’s Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze.

Milan are in search of a new right winger and Chukwueze is high on their agenda.

The Italian outfit have already spoken to the player’s agent, but according to Tuttosport, Arsenal have now joined the race to sign him.

Thursday’s printed edition of the newspaper – page 24- claims Arsenal have ‘officially sounded out the player’s availability.

Chukwueze’s price tag is believed to be in the region of €25m and his contract with the ‘Yellow Submarine’ expires in June 2024.

According to Tuttosport, Chukwueze would not stand against a move to Milan, but his agents have still not discussed contract details with the Serie A giants.

Chukwueze is currently with the Super Eagles ahead of Sunday’s 2023 AFCON qualifier against Sierra Leone.

The Eagles, on nine points, are second in Group A behind Guinea-Bissau while Sierra Leone are third on five points.

  • Chukwueze has the quality to break into the first eleven of any team in world football at the moment…..You can take that to the bank!

  • pompei 11 months ago

Lol, taking that to the bank may be risky, as you might be charged an insufficient funds fee.
I don’t mind Arsenal for him though. Competing week in week out with Saka will bring out the best in him.

  • @Jimmyball have you seen it. Now you know why I have always had Sammy’s Back. He is the best Winger we have in Super Eagles..

Chukwu plays two brand of football… One for club and a weaker version for country.

      • Our Coach is supposed to bring out the best in him

      • That is fallacious@Jimmy…! You just committed a heinous statistical error (…). Can you tell us any major tournament Chuks played for naija that he didn’t score??? Or any qualifying series (both at G.Rhor’s reign and now) that he did not score goals, give assists or impressed?

Do you need someone to tell you that the SE play pattern has been hacked and cracked by other teams?
Besides, where is the administrative sagacity and motivation???

Go watch@Madrid, Man City, Napoli etc and see how the midfield and defence orchestrate their games…. You come here to single out a player when the entire team underplays.

Pls wise up… and speak to one of our hottest attackers in camp with some decorum.
        I come in peace!

        • Bro, what are you defending? Chukwueze is a good player and no doubt about that player. Does he play his best games for Nigeria? Definitely not! And stop blaming the team for his missed chances. Last two games he was fed like million times…and he was wasteful in almost all the occasions. If he a player needs to improve just tell him….stop brandishing nonsense.

Chuks has skill, pace and power, and is able to find his way past most defenders at the highest level of football.
The problem is that everybody knows him and what he can do. So intelligent defenders will show him his right foot and take away his left. It’s not rocket science.
Chuks will get past defenders, but the chance for a goal or assist will usually fall on his right foot. By the time he tries to cut it back to his left where he can do damage, defenders have recovered, and the chance is gone.
Watch SE recent matches. This happened so many times.
The solution. Use both feet, and become unplayable.

Chukwueze would be better off at Milan Bukayo Saka, an England player is sitting comfortably at Arsenal’s right wing

Chukueze is good he have equal wwight with saka,
The coaches are the problem, though chuks also have one leg problem and still childish sometimes but his failure to perform well has alot to do with pesero and eguavon with their 442 formation chukueze iwobi and osihmen will always struggle, my Y is standing right before my z, chukueze and osihmen is been distracted by that second striker coming into their position and disturbing the conect, for example pesero should no that iheanacho or moffi canot play with chuks or osihmen as a second striker and playmaker it only courses confusion among both, living iwobi with only one midfieder will not allow the guy to spring forward to help attack which he does better. these players are used to three midfied three attack we perform best in 433 formation both our youths and adult this 442 us shoking.

  • The wazza dazzler. There is a reason I call chuzzy that name, for it will go with him till retirement. God bless all deserving SE PLAYERS.
