Arsenal are reported to be weighing up a move for RB Leipzig defender Ibrahima Konate, but will face strong competition to do a deal. The 19-year-old centre-half joined the Bundesliga side from French side Sochaux in the summer of 2017 and after steadily working his way into the side, is not a regular in the starting eleven.
Standing at 6ft 4in, the youngster is an imposing figure at the back and has caught the eye of the Gunners, and a host of other clubs during the course of the season.
Arsenal have sent scouts to watch him on a number of occasions this season and reports are rife suggesting that an offer will be made at the end of the campaign.

However, they are not the only interested party, with Premier League rivals Chelsea and West Ham United also said to be showing an interest in the France under-20 international.
Leipzig are doing well this season after climbing to fourth in the Bundesliga table and will be very reluctant to sell. However a sizeable offer in the summer could force their hand.
