Arsenal have received clarity on Christos Tzolis’ injury, with the Greek winger set to be sidelined for three weeks after picking up a hamstring injury on international duty.
Tzolis, 24, was forced off after just 18 minutes during Greece’s 2-2 draw with the Netherlands in the Nations League on Thursday night.
The summer signing from Club Brugge clutched the back of his leg following a sprint and was unable to continue, leaving the pitch visibly emotional.
As reported by Yahoo Sports, initial scans back at London Colney on Friday have confirmed a Grade 1 hamstring strain, ruling him out for around 21 days.
The four games Tzolis will miss are Leeds United (H) – Premier League – Oct 10, Atletico Madrid (A) – Champions League – Oct 21, Tottenham Hotspur (A) – Premier League – Oct 26 and Bayern Munich (H) – Champions League – Oct 29.

He is expected to return for the home clash against Burnley on November 1, just before the next international break.
The injury is a big blow for Mikel Arteta, who is already without Kai Havertz with a similar hamstring issue. Eberechi Eze and Gabriel Martinelli are now expected to deputise on the left wing.
Tzolis has made an impressive start to life at Arsenal, registering 4 assists in 8 appearances since his £34m move.
Kai Havertz was also injured while playing for Germany against the Netherlands.
