Team Nigeria won the gold medal in the women’s 4x400m at the African Athletics Championships in Accra, Ghana on Sunday.
The quartet of Esther Okon, Toheebat Jimoh, Jecinter Lawrence & Patience Okon-George clocked a time of 3:29.25 to claim the gold.
They Nigerian team finishing about 30 metres ahead of Ethiopia in second and third placed Kenya.
In the men’s 4×400 metres final, the gold went to Zimbabwe, Kenya got the silver while Morocco picked up the bronze medal.
Earlier on Sunday, Rosemary claimed silver for Team Nigeria in the women’s 200 metres final.
