Three Nigerian athletes Emmanuel Ojeli, Adewale Sikiru and Samson Nathaniel will compete in the semifinals of the men’s 400m, at the African Athletics Championships in Accra, Ghana.
The trio made it to the last four after qualifying from their heats.
Ojeli made it through in a time of 45.64s, Sikiru crossed the finish line with a time of 46.25s and Nathaniel with a time of 46.67s.
Emmanuel Audu had a decent outing in his first senior appearance for Nigeria in the men’s Shot Put event.
After giving everything Audu marked his first appearance in fifth place in the final.
