Atalanta have congratulated Tottenham Hotspur for emerging the new Europa League champions.
Spurs won their first major trophy in 17 years after overcoming Manchester United 1-0, thanks to Brennan Johnson’s first half strike.
It is Spurs’ third Europa League title after securing it in 1972 and 1984.
Atalanta, who won the Europa League title in last season, congratulated their former players Romero and Dejan Kulusevski.

“Well done @SpursOfficial, treat it well! …and big congrats to our former players Romero and Kulusevski,” Atalanta wrote on X.
Winning the Europa League title means Spurs will feature in next season’s UEFA Champions League.
For United, the defeat sums up their disappointing campaign as there will be no European campaign for them.
