Nigeria defender Chidozie Awaziem has thanked his Caykur Rizespor teammates for helping him settle down at the Turkish Super Lig club, Completesports.com reports.
Awaziem linked up with Rizespor on a six-month loan deal from Portuguese champions FC Porto in January.
He has featured regularly for Rizespor since the move alongside two other Nigerians, Azubuike Okechukwu and Aminu Umar.
” Everyone has supported my adaptation process. We have a good team, I am grateful to every individual in the team,” Awaziem told ajansspor.com.
“The team is doing very well at the moment and have adapted well to the tactical instructions of the coach.”

Rizespor occupy 11th position with 31 points from 25 games in the Turkish Super Lig table.
Awaziem has made seven league appearances for Rizespor since his January arrival.
The centre-back who missed out on a place in Nigeria’s squad to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia is one of the 23 players invited by Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against Seychelles and the international friendly clash versus Pharaohs of Egypt billed for the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba later this month.
