Super Eagles defender Chidozie Awaziem is on the verge of completing a move to Turkish Super Lig side Konyaspor, Completesports.com reports.
According to reports, the Nigeria international has agreed to a two-year contract, with the agreement including an option to extend his stay by a further year.
Konyaspor are expected to pay €1 million to French club Nantes to secure the services of the versatile centre-back.
Awaziem joined Nantes from Major League Soccer outfit Colorado Rapids last summer, but is set to leave after just one season.
The Canaries endured a disappointing 2025/26 campaign, suffering relegation from Ligue 1 after finishing 17th in the table.
The 28-year-old made 26 league appearances for the eight-time French champions, contributing one goal and two assists.
A move to Konyaspor would mark Awaziem’s return to Turkish football, having previously featured for Çaykur Rizespor and Alanyaspor, where he established himself as one of the league’s most dependable defenders.
Konyaspor enjoyed a respectable 2025/26 campaign, finishing eighth in the Turkish Super Lig and reaching the Turkish Cup final, where they were defeated by Trabzonspor.
