Followed the game from Start to Finish. Sadly the two Nigrians I wanted to watch started from the Bench but I never knew I was yet to see something interesting in the second half.

The moment Awoniyi came on, he changed the game for Mainz. He revived the Seemingly dead attack. Brought spark to the Attack line and the Cologne defenders became restless all through. He equalized with a smart touch and wnet on to sadly miss two chances. First, he slipoed. Secondly, it was a poor first touch. But all round, he did well. Hopefully, he continues with this form so he can sign for a good club afterwards cuz Mainz are ready to cut off his loan deal.

As for 1.Koln Right back, Rugged EHIZIBUE. He came on for the last 10 minutes of action and the moment he came on, I knew it was Game over for Mainz Robin Quaison and Awoniyi threatening there attack. And he did just that. He helped Cologne attack surging forward.

It was a good match overall. Fair match for me because the two Nigerians later played and Awoniyi scored his first goal for Mainz – made my day
