Love him or hate him this guy is close to Osi . Not easy playing in premiership and with his injury predicament , Awoniyi still continue to perform excellently .  We missed him , Boniface , Ndindi, and Tella at the nations cup. If these are available we wouldn’t over worked some players which led to their tiredness at the final.

    A top striker goal!
Like he did to Saliba, tight angle, good first touch and well timed left-footed shot.
Once the national team handlers figure the right approach for Osi-Awo combination, goals will rain on oppositions because it will be hard to mark-out both players same time.
He’s done it in the Jupiter league, Bundesliga, and Premiership!
    traits of a top striker!
Hopefully, he gets opportunity in a top 6 premiership team next season

I have always said this – If you know football it is clear as day, Awoniyi is probably the best striker we have in Nigeria, the difference now between him and Osimhen is that Osimhen has more pedigree through his experience of having played at the top level for much longer than Awo but with time and injury permitting we will see who is truly better between the two because we must also recognise that Osi is no joke and he is also young with a huge curve ahead of him, Osi is also still getting better – between the two of them, the SE’s future as far as strikers go is very bright.
All we really need is a top rate coach!

  • Get all the best strikers in the world, if SE doesn’t address its Midfield problem, centre back fragility, and upgrade the wingers, they are only joking. If you like park the bus again, it will end with another heart break.
    Cheers!!!

I have been for Awoniyi since union berlin, a proper striker. But he is injury prone, guy shows up half the season. But as soon as he scores people want him back for the se. He will not get an opportunity for a top 6, nobody wants an injury prone player. On average Nigerians are only called by bottom half table teams in the premier league. Nigerian players are cheap commodity. How many Nigerian players forest and fulham got?

    Get a grip

And focus on the midfield. The coach is not the problem. Nigerians think their team is bigger than what it really is. Should be lucky Peserio even took the job. If he is gone who is gonna be next? Whats next on the wishlist. Huge ego fanbase
