Gareth Bale’s agent, Jonathan Barnett, says his client is hoping to stay at Real Madrid beyond this season.
Wales international Bale has won 13 trophies since joining Los Blancos from Tottenham Hotspur in 2013 but he has come under criticism from supporters over the past season.
The 29-year-old, who was linked with a move to Manchester United last summer, has been hampered by injuries and reports claim he refuses to integrate with the squad away from the pitch.

Zinedine Zidane’s return as manager has also cast fresh doubts over the forward’s future but Barnett says his client is more than happy to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu. “He wants to stay,” he told Sky Sports. “I’m not sure Mr Zidane wants him to stay, but at the moment Gareth wants to stay.
He’s got a contract and he will quite happily see it out until 2022.”
