Rangers defender Calvin Bassey is delighted with the chance to play for the Super Eagles, reports Completesports.com.
Bassey, who was born in Italy has made six appearances for the Super Eagles.
The 22-year-old in an interview with NFF TV expressed shock after being asked to play for the Super Eagles.

“I was shocked,I couldn’t believe it,” Bassey said.
“I just felt so privileged and blessed .
“I thank God everyday because God is our strength . So I just feel privileged and blessed to be here and to represent my great nation.
“Playing for Nigeria,I don’t think I can put it into words. We have over 200 million people behind our back every time we go on to the pitch.
“And just being able to make the 25 players representing them is a dream come true.
“We’ve got important games coming up.

“I just want to help the team in any way I can.”
Bassey was born in Italy to Nigerian parents and grew up in England hence was eligible to represent all three countries at international level.
He played 50 games in all competitions for Rangers last season and recorded six assists.
