Bayern Munich are said to be the hot favourites to land Gareth Bale as he edges closer to the Real Madrid exit door. Real boss Zinedine Zidane has revealed transfer talks are under way with an unnamed club, who are keen to sign Bale, and reports are rife suggesting it is Bayern.
Meanwhile, Zidane has also denied disrespecting Bale and says the Welshman didn’t want to play against Bayern last week because the club were working on his exit. “What I said the other day is that the club was working on his exit,” he said. “Gareth didn’t come on (against Bayern Munich) because he didn’t want to.
“He said that the club was working on his exit and that’s why he didn’t come on. Gareth is a Real Madrid player, he’ll train as normal today and we’ll have to see what happens tomorrow.” Bale is said to have an offer from China, while there is also interest from the Premier League and Paris Saint-Germain.
However Bayern are keen and see him as the perfect player to help fill the void left by the exits of Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery.
