Girondins Bordeaux manager Pualo Sousa has pardoned Samuel Kalu after his late arrival from the mid-season holiday by naming the Nigerian winger in his squad for Saturday’s home clash against Olympic Lyon, Completesports.com reports.
Kalu incurred Sousa’s wrath after failing to join the rest of his teammates in training in time for last weekend’s French League Cup clash against Le Mans.
The 22-year-old claimed he was holed up in Nigeria as a result of passport problems and spent extra days in his homeland before returning to France this week.
Sousa insisted that the dazzling winger would be penalised for his action and there were reports he was demoted to train with the ‘Team B’ as part of his punishment.

Kalu appears to have now found favour from the gaffer who has included him in his 19-man squad for the game.
His international teammate Josh Maja is also named in the squad for the clash against Rudi Garcia’s men.
Kalu has scored one goal in 16 Ligue 1 appearances for Bordeaux this season.
