Bayer Leverkusen boss Peter Bosz says Club Brugge midfielder Marvelous Nakamba would shine in England’s Premier Leeague. Zimbabwe international Nakamba has impressed since arriving at Brugge in 2017 from Vitesse, making 53 league appearances and helping the club to the Belgian First Division title in his debut season.
Premier League new boys Aston Villa, who have already raided Blauw-Zwart for Wesley this summer in a £22million deal, are now believed to be showing an interest in the Brazilian’s former team-mate. Nakamba, 25, has gained praise for his performances in the heart of midfield and Bosz, who managed the Hwange-born star at Vitesse, says a move to England would be perfect.
“Nakamba is a boy who brings a lot of energy into the game. He is strong and a winner,” he was quoted as saying by German newspaper Bild. “With his honest and aggressive style of play, he would fit well in England.” Brugge reportedly value Nakamba at £15m, an amount Villa may be willing to meet.
