Brazil Optimistic In Ancelotti Chase

President of Brazil Football Federation Eduardo Rodrigues is upbeat Carlo Ancelotti will become the next Selecao coach.

The Football Federation are looking for a new head coach after Tite left the post following the team’s quarter-final exit at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

A number of coaches have been linked to the Brazil job, including Roma’s Jose Mourinho, but Ancelotti has emerged as the clear favourite, something that has been made clear by Rodrigues on a number of occasions.

Calciomercato.com highlights how Rodrigues and the Brazilian Football Federation are confident that Ancelotti will take on the job, even if he’s stated that he won’t leave Real Madrid until his contract expires in 2024.

Speaking to local press, Rodrigues stated: “The situation is advancing. We are trying to have a clearer position before May 25, the date set for the next national team call-ups.”

This deadline could be complicated for Ancelotti, however, as his Real Madrid will still have to play two La Liga games as well as possibly the Champions League final.

Hmmm…seems the Brazilians dont buy the “let us fail with our own” way of life.

  • Serious country unlike NFF that will go for a cheap service higher a coach without pedigree, one thing is certain d evil men do leaves with them no longer after them,

  • Brazil won the World Cup 5 times eith native coaches in a period most of the players were home-based. They have now realized that the world has changed. No parochial emotions Pick the best, affordable coaches and players wherever they may be. It’s only in Nigeria that people want everything home-grown, no matter how mediocre!

The one we have now is he home grown? Please, this does not anything to do with that.Rather,it has a lot with the desire of our football administrators(NFA) as per weather they are satisfied with our current of football or they want something better.
