Congratulations to Akwa United for finally winning their 1st NPFL title! They have been banging at the door for some seasons now. Standouts are their coach,Kennedy Boboye who just like leading Plateau United to their 1st NPFL title in 2016/17 season has repeated the same with Akwa United. This is epic!

Mfon Udoh has also won his 2nd NPFL title but winning with his hometown club makes for good reading…

Who will forget to mention their hattrick hero today, Charles Atsimene who tied with Nasarawa Utd’s Silas Nwankwo at 18 goals for the race of the league’s golden boot. This will be interesting as Silas has 2 more matches while Charles has one more to move clear.

The coach of the CHAN eagles needs to start work if in place to harness this budding talents.

      Good evening Forumites,
Please someone should tell me that this is not the pitch at our beloved Uyo stadium (Nest of Champions)

“…I played in all d qualifiers for ’96 Olympics except the last game because of car accident injuries. I didn’t recover on time to make the squad to Atlanta and that ruled me out of having an Olympic gold medal around my neck. That’s my biggest regret ever. I thank God for life though…” Kennedy Boboye Ex-Nigerian International

But come Thursday, Coach Kennedy Boboye will have a 2nd League Title Medal Hanging from his neck having led 2 unlikely clubs (Plateau United and Akwa United) to the league title in the space of 3 seasons. Never say never, when life knocks you down, dust up yourself and move on with hopes of a better tomorrow.

Congrats to the 43 year old Ex-International…I wish the other jobless ones can go get busy, even if its with teams in the NPFL, and contribute responsibly to football development in the country, rather than being part-time staff of CSN, gossiping weekly on the pages of newspapers about another who is busy doing his job diligently.

NFF will not see these types of ex-internationals like Boboye to integrate into the SE crew and develop……LMAOOOoo…it is the one that has never coached even a creche before and cannot write ordinary scouting report they and their PR forerunners will be foisting on us as if there is any shortcut anywhere to the top.
